I’ve got a bad habit. When I buy something extra special, or that I really love, I often find I let it stay tucked neatly into my closet saving it for the “perfect” occasion. And sometimes, that perfect occasion is awfully slow in coming. So I am trying to be better about wearing those “special” pieces right off the bat. But I’ve got to admit-I’m a work in progress.
But lucky for me, when styled appropriately, color is perfectly acceptable during the fall and winter seasons. And that means there will hopefully still be lots of special occasions for me to wear my favorite (previously unworn) Kate Spade skirt. And while the temps are still pretty warm, I am loving it back to denim, for a look that’s both seasonally and weather appropriate!

Denim Shirt: American Eagle (old), similar, love this one | Skirt: Kate Spade (sold out), same skirt, different color | Cuffs: JCrew, Kate Spade | Sunnies: Gap | Watch: Michael Kors | Bag: Kate Spade (old color), new colors | Pumps: Marc Fisher
So I have to ask. Does anyone else out there have the same bad habit I do? Do you wear your special items right away? Or save them for later?
Thanks for stopping by. You all brighten my day more than you know.
I have the exact same problem! I’m always worried that I’ll wear something beautiful on a normal day, mess it up and not get to wear it again on a special day. But I’ve made it my Fall goal to treat everyday as a special day and where all my favorites more often.
