So now that I’ve decided I can wear the off-the-shoulder trend (see this post where I talk about how I didn’t think it would work for my body type), I can’t seem to get enough of it. Ha! Isn’t that the way that it always goes. But I have to say that for me lately, it doesn’t get much better than an off-the-shoulder romper. My husband and I love to bike in the summer and often ride our tandem road bike to dinner or drinks and apps, so I am always looking for cute outfits that are appropriate for bike riding AND date night (which is much harder than you would think!). But I have found that rompers, above all else, always seem to fit the bill. Especially when they cost less than $20!!

I had good intentions of getting this post up in time for Memorial Day, but ended up being too busy having fun with my family (who was in town for the weekend) to sit down and do any blogging. So my apologies for the absence of outfit posts the past few days! But since I’m really digging the patriotic feel of what I wore for our Memorial Day BBQ, I still wanted to share it with all of you!
I love the combination of red, white, and blue-or in this case, neon coral, white, and blue. And of course what could be more American than adding a little pop of denim to an ensemble? So even though Memorial Day weekend has (sadly) come and gone, I love this outfit for a multitude of different summer occasions-including the 4th of July, or really any summer BBQ for that matter….

I find it to be kind of amusing when people use the term “Sorry I’m not sorry”. And I have to say, that is exactly how I feel every time I slip on these neon heels. I mean, let’s be honest, I am pretty much obsessed with them. They are so super comfy, go with just about everything, and bring such a fun element to any outfit. And even though they are from last summer, I still can’t seem to get enough. I knew the second I saw this top in person that I had to have it. I had seen it on the Banana Republic website, but didn’t realize just how gorgeous it was until I saw it in the store. This top is absolutely the prettiest mix of a sequined floral print, with just a touch of neon piping. And I have to say, it is one of those extra special pieces that only seem to come around every once in a while. And even though sometimes they take a little seeking out, every girl should have a couple of these extra special pieces in her wardrobe!

Happy Thursday, everyone! I am on the road again this week for work, and enjoying the opportunity to spend some time in my home state of Montana. But truth be told, I am ready to be home and sleep in my own bed.

And while I wouldn’t initially have thought to put this outfit together, I happened to try on this sweater while I was wearing these pants running errands a couple of weekends ago and loved the way they looked together. It’s been so gray the past couple of days, the weather must have seeped into my subconscious and impacted my wardrobe-a gray ensemble for an equally gray day. Also, while I don’t normally get too personal on the blog, I felt it pressing on my heart to share this story with all of you. Sarah grew up down the street from me and at 32 years old is battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer. And not only does she have a difficult fight ahead of her, but she has two young children and a husband to think about. Please keep she and her family in your prayers, and if you feel so inclined to donate, there are links in the article (it’s super easy). Reading Sarah’s story reminds of how important it is to be thankful for my health. It is something so easy to take for granted, but yet it is so incredibly precious. A good and humbling reminder…
