When I was a little girl, my mom always dressed me to the nines for Easter Sunday-pretty dress, white gloves, and of course an Easter bonnet. And while I don’t bust out gloves or a new bonnet for Easter Sunday anymore, it is still ingrained in me to get dressed up for the occasion. And what better outfit for Easter Sunday than a candy colored sweater and pretty floral skirt?

Listen up ladies, red isn’t just for the holiday season anymore! Paired with the right color combinations (think neutrals!!), red is a color we should be wearing all. year. long. And while I typically tend to shy away from reds during the warmer months (as I’m sure we all tend to do), paired back to nudes and light wash denim, red really is the perfect pop of color for Spring!

Rad Plaid

I am a pretty tried and true JCrew and Gap girl when it comes to my beloved button downs. And I rarely (if ever) venture outside of this cozy comfort zone. However, since I didn’t have any luck with either store on my hunt for a light gray plaid shirt this spring, I was forced to venture out. And I have to say, I am glad that I did because I am absolutely LOVING the fit and style of this Ralph Lauren Denim and Supply top. It is slightly longer in the back, the fabric is light and airy, and the fit is fantastic. In fact, it’s been such a popular shirt at Macy’s, it’s been selected as a customer favorite. And you know what that means? More prints and patterns to come! I know I’ll be on the lookout to add some additional versions of this fantastic shirt to my closet!

I knew the second I saw this top in person that I had to have it. I had seen it on the Banana Republic website, but didn’t realize just how gorgeous it was until I saw it in the store. This top is absolutely the prettiest mix of a sequined floral print, with just a touch of neon piping. And I have to say, it is one of those extra special pieces that only seem to come around every once in a while. And even though sometimes they take a little seeking out, every girl should have a couple of these extra special pieces in her wardrobe!

For once, I was actually ahead of the game and shot some pics over the weekend, but when I went to import them into Lightroom, I received a dreaded error that my SD card was corrupted. I have had my eye on this leopard sleeved Townsen sweatshirt for SO LONG! But I just couldn’t justify paying full price for it (because I don’t pay full price for anything-seriously!). So when it went on sale for less than half price right after Christmas, I knew I had to pounce (no pun intended!). And I am certainly glad that I did. If you follow me on Instagram (AllDolledUpBlog), then you know I rocked a very similar outfit to this one a couple of weeks ago for a shopping date with one of my best friends at Nordstrom. I hope that you all had a most wonderful Super Bowl weekend! We had a great weekend skiing at the resorts and in the backcountry, celebrating the 4th birthday of one of our very favorite little guys, and of course cheering on the Seahawks and the Broncos in the Super Bowl! It’s not very often that all your homies from the west make it into the big dance. So even though we may have slightly sided with the Broncos (Peyton is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met), it was still pretty rad to see the west represent!

I have to admit, I usually get pretty excited every year when Pantone announces their “official” color of the year. But last year I was so thrilled when they announced that the “it” color of 2013 was Emerald Green, that I didn’t hold out much hope for 2014-that is until they announced that their official color of the year was Radiant Orchid (insert swoon here). Now if there is one color that could top Emerald Green in my book, this is most definitely it. So what better way to kick off my 2014 blog posts than with an ode to Radiant Orchid, Pantone’s official color of 2014…

I have been on the hunt for a pair of sequin pants for quite a while now. And believe me, it was much more difficult than I could have ever anticipated. So I was absolutely thrilled when I found this fantastic black pair of sequin pants at Bebe for a steal of a price. In my opinion, they are the perfect holiday party attire. And while I am loving them back to plaid, I can’t wait to style them more ways this holiday season!
