Happy Monday, friends! Hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was filled with home renovation projects, friends, and lots and lots of sunshine and biking. BUT despite the fantastic weather, there was definitely still a chill in the air. And this time of year, when temps are still in that in-between phase, I find that a denim jacket is the perfect weight to layer on over your outfit to keep you warm and stylish. And I am loving this pale blue, white washed version from Nordstrom. It’s a nice change-up from tried and true blue and gives me different options for styling than my go-to JCrew denim jacket. Plus, something about the pale color just feels extra fresh for Spring…

There is nothing I feel more comfortable in than a basic tee, a cute moto jacket, destroyed skinnies, and a fun pair of pumps. I guess you could say it’s my uniform, and definitely my go-to ensemble when I don’t know what to wear (which happens way more often than you might think!). And while I normally gravitate towards 7 for all mankind as my denim of choice, these Citizens have quickly become my current favorites! Sunshine On My Shoulders

A yellow blazer is a piece I have been wanting to add to my wardrobe for the last 5 years, but I have never been able to find quite the right one. And after searching high and low for so long, I had all but given up until I saw this one in the window at Zara in downtown Seattle a couple of weeks ago. I knew the minute I saw it, that it was exactly what I had been looking for! And I absolutely LOVE it! I know I’ve said it before, but blazers are a great investment piece to add to your wardrobe. Not only are they classic and never go out of style, but you can wear them to just about any event-whether it be social or work related. Stepping Out

I tend to gravitate towards the same kinds of items: button-downs, t-shirts and cardis, black leather jackets and ripped jeans-if you follow along with my blog, then you’ve probably noticed! lol But one of the best parts of having a blog is that it forces me to take a look at my closet and make smart decisions when adding to my wardrobe. So when I saw this shirt at Zara when I was in Seattle for business meetings last week, I knew it would be a great investment. Not only is a silhouette that I don’t own anything similar to, but it is also a print that is completely different from anything else I own (and perfect for Spring, of course!)! So my advice to you guys today? Even though it is easy to buy the same kinds of things that we like to gravitate towards, it is important to push yourself outside of your comfort zone and add unique pieces to your closet that you will keep for years to come!

Leopard Blazer

Like I’ve always said, leopard can be used as a neutral and works well back to pretty much any color you have in your closet. But truth be told, leopard and red is one of my all-time favorite combos-a pair that I often find myself gravitating towards. It’s no secret that I love shoes. And there is almost nothing in the whole wide world of fashion that I love more than a great pair of statement pumps! So when I spotted these gorgeous Vince Camuto stunners when I was in San Francisco for meetings last week, I knew they would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe! I have been really into neutrals lately. But perhaps equally as high on my radar is anything white. And based on what’s going on out in the market, I can tell I’m not alone!
