In years past, I haven’t typically had a lot of blue in my closet. But this season, it seems to be a color that I am really gravitating towards. And this dress from JCPenney, has been a staple in my closet this spring. Not only does it work great with a cardi or denim jacket, but now that the weather is warming up, I am loving how it looks paired with a denim vest.

Cardi

I tend to gravitate towards denim jackets when I’m looking for a layering piece to wear over a dress. But this spring, I have been starting to reach towards cardigans more often. And I have to say, I am loving the look and the ease of pairing a cardigan with a dress. A longer cardi is also a great option to wear over a dress that borders on the shorter side for a little added coverage.

Off-The-Shoulder

If you follow along on Instagram (alldolledupblog), or Snapchat (alldolledupblog), then you know that J and I were on vacation in Montana last week. Of course I had good intentions to take a lot of blog photos while were there, but it was insanely smokey from all of the fires, and truth be told, we were having too much fun to work! Ha! But I did manage to get some photos of this outfit, which is what I wore to a family brunch on Sunday.

I am obsessed with this off the shoulder top because it is so comfy and flowy-a slight departure from a lot of the tops in my closet. And while I have been having fun styling it with shorts, I can’t wait to wear it with long denim and booties in the Fall. So fear not, my friends, styled the right way, you can definitely transition your off-the-shoulder tops and dresses into the Fall season!

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I headed straight to Seattle from vacation for a week long leadership summit. And while I am looking forward to an inspirational week, I can’t wait to sleep in my own bed again!

White After Labor Day

I’m baaaaaack! Been a bit of a rough week for me over here. I got some bad spider bites while we were on a float trip this past weekend and have been having an allergic reaction to them in the form of hives all over my arms and legs! Gross! Didn’t figure you all would want to see that on the blog, so I’ve just been taking it easy this week.

Fortunately, I started to feel a little better last night which is why I’m finally back today. And good thing too, because I want to talk about how much I love white pants!! I was so hesitant to buy them at first because I knew I would get them dirty (which I pretty much do every time I wear them), but it has been so worth it. Not only do they look great with almost every cute summer top in my closet (especially bright colors!), but I can’t wait to transition these bad boys into Fall with booties and oversized sweaters! Who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day???

Summer Fashion Hacks

I love a good striped dress. And with the slightly cooler weather here in the SLC that has been layering itself in with our typically hot temps, I have found that some evenings, it’s nice to have a light coat with me as an option. Plus these tassel shoes. I can’t even. I’m pretty sure they are my favorite purchase from the #NSale. They are less than $90 and also come in black and red. I am really on a stripe kick these days. And this dress from Express is seriously one of my very pieces in my closet. It is cute and comfy and the perfect piece to throw on for a BBQ, bike ride, dinner at home, or for a night on the town. All you have to do is change out your shoes and jewelry and it takes on a completely different personality every time. In fact, I love this dress so much (and it’s on sale for such a great price!) that I just picked it up in two more colors!
