Confession: I LOVE camo. Always have, always will. In fact, my father-in-law even got me my very own snow camo gators for Christmas one year because I thought snow camo was especially pretty. So when camo is in, I am always especially quick to jump on the trend. And so of course, given it’s popularity this season, I knew that a camo vest would be the perfect addition to my wardrobe for the summer season…

I love wearing white in the summer time. It looks so crisp and fresh and is the perfect complement to a sun-kissed glow. And while it seems obvious to gravitate towards white pants, shorts, and dresses, I think a white skirt is the perfect addition to any wardrobe. It’s a versatile piece that can easily be dressed up (with a silky blouse) or down(with a fun graphic tee) and transitions perfectly from day to night (think blazer for the daylight hours). I love neon. Especially a nice, bright neon yellow. And while it isn’t the easiest shade to wear, yellow in general is my absolute favorite color, so I’m partial. Which is why, of course, I couldn’t resist this pretty top. And while I can’t recommend this hue for everyone, what I can recommend is a pretty, dressed-up tank back to ripped jeans and heels for a summer night out on the town…

Where The Green Grass Grows

Not only did J and I purchase a house two years ago that needed a complete gut job and remodel on the inside, but it also needed a total overhaul of the outside as well. And after countless projects and a lot of hard work (we have done the majority of it ourselves), we are literally one project away from completion-both inside and out. And since one of my favorite things about warmer weather is fresh-cut grass (both the smell and the color), I can’t tell you how excited I am to spend countless evenings on the back deck enjoying ours this summer. And I am guessing this also might just be the explanation as to why I am so enamored with my grass-green tote right now…
