I’m pretty sure the best part about Fall fashion is layers. I love throwing on a cute sweater, my favorite surplus jacket, and a cozy scarf. And these booties? They are hands down my favorite, and they come in a bunch of colors. Definitely worth every penny.

I know I’ve blogged about these camis from Express before. But they are truly the best and worth mentioning over and over. Not only do they look great with jeans, slacks, jackets, and skirts, but they are reversible, so you are essentially getting 2 shirts for the price of one. I love a good vest. And when I saw this cute number on one of my favorite bloggers, I knew it would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe. It’s more like a giant blanket scarf/wrap and is the perfect piece for layering up for a little added extra warmth. I love a good striped tee. Particularly when they are super soft and a little longer in the back than in the front. And my white jeans? Still going strong this fall season. In fact, I love this look for Fall so much, that this type of uniform will definitely be on repeat. I will just have to change out my heels for booties when the temps start to drop!

On a serious note, I also wanted to just take a minute and acknowledge today, September 11th. I still remember so vividly where I was and exactly what I was doing on this day 14 years ago. I remember watching towers fall while my roommates and I cried and clung to each other in our tiny little dorm room. I remember frantically trying to call friends who lived in in NYC to make sure they were ok. I remember how drastically things changed in those moments and how in the blink of an eye, things would never be the same. But most importantly, I remember those who lost their lives, the heroes, the first responders, the children who have grown up without with fathers and mothers. Every soul lost that day was so precious and taken from us much too soon. So even though life marches on, today will be a day full of reflection for me, as I know it will be for many others across this great country and around the world.
Hold tight to your loved ones, and never, ever forget.
