Fall Trends with JCPenney

I am so excited to be teaming up with JCPenney and People StyleWatch today to share with you two of my favorite Fall trends.  Up first? Bomber jackets.  And while they’ve been on trend for the past couple of seasons, this year it’s worth venturing beyond army green, and picking up an embellished version complete with cute and sporty patches.  And my second favorite? Fringe.  But especially fringed bags.

So if you are looking to test drive some of the hottest trends this Fall (without breaking the bank), then I would definitely check out your local JCPenney.  I scored both my bomber jacket and my fringe bag for just under $50-TOTAL!

Weekend Vibes

One of my favorite summer outfits is a casual long sleeve shirt paired with a pair of destroyed denim shorts.  But since it’s such a basic look, it’s not one I feature on the blog very often.  However, I love this shirt so much that I just had to share with you guys!  It’s perfect with shorts now, and will look great with jeans and leggings (it’s a great tunic length!), during the Fall season.  Plus, it’s only $30 (and super comfy)! Happy Friday, babes!

Stripes

I have a hard time saying no to anything striped.  Particularly striped dresses this time of year.  So when I spotted this cute little number at Nordstrom, I knew it would not only be the perfect thing to wear on the 4th, but that it would also be a comfy basic to keep on rotation in my closet this summer.  And at only $38, who could resist?

Surplus

You all know I love surplus vests and jackets, but I’m also a huge fan of surplus pants.  And these Traveler Pants from cabi clothing have quickly become a favorite in my wardrobe.  I tend to be a creature of habit and wear my favorite jeans all the time, so it’s been nice to have a new go-to pair of pants to add to the rotation!DSC_7626 DSC_7632 DSC_7656 DSC_7709 DSC_7683 DSC_7671 DSC_7643 DSC_7633 DSC_7668 DSC_7712

The “It” Jacket

I don’t know about you guys, but every once in a while I stumble upon a piece that I want to own in every color possible.  And this jacket is one of those pieces. I have owned it in the army green color for the past 2 years and I have worn it so much (and received more compliments on it than I can count!), that it has become a tried and true favorite in my wardrobe.  So when I found it came it came in a washed black color, I knew it would be a good investment.  Plus, it’s under $55.  So if you are looking for the perfect jacket (with a little edge) that won’t break the bank, trust me.  This is the one.

The Ghosts of Christmas Past

Happy Friday, sweet friends!  Sorry to have been a little absent on the blog this week.  I was traveling for some big work meetings and a snow storm at the beginning of the week made it tough to get any new photos!

But with that said, the falling snow reminded me that not only are the Holidays just around the corner, BUT  I need to start planning my Holiday outfits.  So today, I wanted to take a little trip down memory lane and share some of my favorite looks from the Holiday season last year!  And even better?  A lot of these items have been restocked, so happy shopping and Holiday outfit planning!

Off-The-Shoulder

If you follow along on Instagram (alldolledupblog), or Snapchat (alldolledupblog), then you know that J and I were on vacation in Montana last week.  Of course I had good intentions to take a lot of blog photos while were there, but it was insanely smokey from all of the fires, and truth be told, we were having too much fun to work!  Ha! But I did manage to get some photos of this outfit, which is what I wore to a family brunch on Sunday.

I am obsessed with this off the shoulder top because it is so comfy and flowy-a slight departure from a lot of the tops in my closet.  And while I have been having fun styling it with shorts, I can’t wait to wear it with long denim and booties in the Fall.  So fear not, my friends, styled the right way, you can definitely transition your off-the-shoulder tops and dresses into the Fall season!

Color

I am normally a color wearing gal, but lately, all I have been wanting to wear are the neutrals in my closet.  So in an effort to get myself out of a colorless rut, I decided to break out my favorite geometric print pink pants.  And boy am I glad that I did.  I can’t tell you how good it felt to infuse some color and a little life into my outfit!  So if you are feeling in a rut or unsure of what to wear this week, try giving a pop of color a try!  Hopefully it will revive you like it revived me!!!!

Girl About Town

My hubby races bikes every Saturday in the Fall.  And after his race, we usually like to find a new place somewhere in the city to either grab a beer or a coffee and a treat to celebrate.  It’s nothing too big or significant, but one of my favorite weekend traditions none-the-less.  And because our Saturday’s are so laid back, my outfits tend follow suit and are generally some variation of the below.  Jeans, puffy vest, booties, repeat…
