Versatility

I’m way into rompers right now. I don’t know what it is, but I keep gravitating towards them over dresses in my closet this summer. I think because they are actually shorts, they can have a slightly more casual feel which makes them seemingly appropriate for just about any occasion-from a backyard BBQ to date night. BUT, rompers are also super easy to glam up. Just add a big floppy sun hat, statement heels, and an oversized pair of sunnies-and bam! Instant glam! And if I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times-versatile pieces (like rompers!) are the key to a well-rounded wardrobe!

YOU GUYS! I am back! My apologies for the radio silence on the blog last week! I was traveling for work and on vacation and between our crazy adventures and some unexpected technical issues with my memory card (I lost all of the outfit posts I had planned!), I just couldn’t get any content up. But boy did I miss you all and couldn’t be happier to be back and sharing today’s post!

If you follow me on Instagram (and if you don’t, you can follow me here), then you know I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with the incredibly talented LC Photography a couple of weeks ago. I had such an amazing time working with them and was so happy to finally have the perfect opportunity to shoot my beloved neon tulle skirt from The Girl That Loves. Tulle is all the rage right now and The Girl That Loves has an assortment of incredible colors and styles that are also extremely comfortable. While I am always sad to see the weekend go, I couldn’t be happier that this one is over because I am so excited for Thanksgiving. I. CAN. HARDLY. STAND. IT. It is one of my very favorite days of the year and I can’t wait to celebrate the day. Perfect Harmony

I am loving the sneak peeks I am getting through social media from all of the happenings in NYC for Fashion Week. And I have to say that one trend I am happy to see will be continuing into the Spring 2014 season is black and white. In my opinion, no other color combo creates such perfect harmony while being so chic and effortless at the same time. Plus it creates the ideal canvas to add a pop of color, or a pretty metallic.
