I tend to gravitate towards dresses. But the Grandstand skirt from the Cabi Spring line just might be my favorite thing in my closet right now. I seriously love everything about it. The fabric, the stripes, the pockets, the tie waist. It’s really an all-around perfect piece in my book. Plus it goes with so many different things, I know it’s going to be a go-to in my wardrobe this season.

Is it just me, or does this feel like the longest week EVER? Hopefully your week is going by a lot faster than mine. I am so ready for the weekend already.

Rehearsal Dinner

If you follow me on Insta (and if you don’t, you should!), then you know I was in Austin, Texas last week celebrating the wedding of one of my best college friends. It was an absolutely fabulous weekend and I could not be happier for my sweet friend and her new hubby. And despite my best intentions to take blog photos of what I wore to all of the festivities, I was having too much fun to pause and break out the DSLR.

So even though I’m back home in the SLC, I wanted to recreate for y’all what I wore to the rehearsal dinner. I haven’t been to many weddings in the winter, and it made me realize that they can be a little tricky to dress for. Even though Austin is fairly mild, I wasn’t sure it would be warm enough for a sleeveless dress-and I was right. So instead, I opted to pair one of my favorite skirts from this past summer, with one of my favorite tops from the holiday season. And I have to say that I really love the way it turned out. Not only is navy one of my favorite colors for a formal event, but mixing it back to gold and leopard is one of my very favorite combinations of all time-a total no-brainer for such a special event!

Easter Best

When I was a little girl, my mom always dressed me to the nines for Easter Sunday-pretty dress, white gloves, and of course an Easter bonnet. And while I don’t bust out gloves or a new bonnet for Easter Sunday anymore, it is still ingrained in me to get dressed up for the occasion. Neon Mono

I love a good monochromatic combination. And while my instinct is usually to use neutrals for monochromatic looks, this necklace/sweater combo has convinced me that it works really well with with color (especially neon!) too!!

Vacation Style

Hola!! This morning I am writing this post to you guys from San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua. If you checked out any of last week’s posts, or follow me on Instagram (alldolledupblog), then you know Justin and I are on vacation. And what a glorious vacation it has been! This is our 2nd time in SJDS and we are absolutely in love. Beautiful town, wonderful people, and an incredibly laid back lifestyle which has made it pretty easy for us to just kick back and relax. The biggest question of the day tends to be whether to go to the beach (surfing for J), or hang by the pool at our house.

We didn’t bring our DSLR with us, so J snapped these photos with his phone out on our patio while we were enjoying our favorite time of the day here…the sunset. Even Jack (our guard dog), loves to sit and watch the sunset with us and insisted in being in some of the photos with me. 🙂 Maxi skirts, minimal jewelry, and bright tanks have pretty much been my go-to uniform since we’ve been here (outside of bathing suits). And I am loving the super high slit of this maxi. Pretty sure it’s my favorite thing that I packed-not to mention that it cost less than $20!!! Tough to beat that!

Polka Dots

There was a period in time when I went a little overkill on the whole polka dot thing, so I made a conscious effort to cut back. And in doing so, it’s been quite a while since I posted a polka dot look on the blog. So after a nice little hiatus, I finally feel like now is the appropriate time to bring polka dots back to All Dolled Up! Not to mention that it has been unseasonably warm here in Utah this week, and this sweater is the perfect transitional piece that feels fitting for a winter that is beginning to feel an awful lot like spring…
