And let me tell you, this vest is my new favorite thing in my closet. in fact, I have already worn it twice in the past week! Rust isn’t always a color I am drawn to in my wardrobe. Happy Monday, friends! Hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was filled with home renovation projects, friends, and lots and lots of sunshine and biking. BUT despite the fantastic weather, there was definitely still a chill in the air. And this time of year, when temps are still in that in-between phase, I find that a denim jacket is the perfect weight to layer on over your outfit to keep you warm and stylish. And I am loving this pale blue, white washed version from Nordstrom. It’s a nice change-up from tried and true blue and gives me different options for styling than my go-to JCrew denim jacket. Plus, something about the pale color just feels extra fresh for Spring…

Dolled Up

I love getting dolled up. And the holiday season presents exactly that opportunity. But living in a state with a cold winter climate, sometimes I feel like I don’t have any coats or jackets that look or feel all that glamorous. So for quite a while, I have been on the hunt for a great (and affordable) faux fur animal print coat-and I am happy to report that I have finally found one (AND that it costs less than $65)!!! Not only is it super cozy (it reminds me of my favorite faux fur throw), but I love the vintage feel of it, and the idea of pairing it back to great heels and a dress for a NYE party, or wearing it with boots, skinny black pants, and a silk top (like I did for a friend’s casual wedding reception over the weekend)…

I love red and always tend to gravitate towards it this time of year, but I am here to tell you that green is a fantastic alternative if you are looking to change up your holiday ensembles a bit. I never thought I would wear this skirt outside of the summer months, but paired back to black and leopard, it feels totally appropriate and perfectly festive for the holiday season! But after having worn them for several months, I developed a severe allergic reaction to the glue. And the end result (besides being totally traumatized by the whole ordeal)? Pretty much all of my eyelashes fell out. And it. was. awful. Fortunately for me, it was right around this time that I discovered Younique 3D Fiberlash Mascara.
