Print Mixing

Fashion trends come and go, but one thing that always remains a favorite in my book, is mixing plaid and leopard.  And while this outfit is perfect for warm summer nights, it does give off the vibe of just a hint of Fall.  Perfect for this time of year.DSC_2950 DSC_2931 DSC_2987 DSC_2876 DSC_2935 DSC_2986 DSC_2950 DSC_2921 DSC_2984 DSC_2941Top: Gap (40% off with code: FUNDAY) | Denim: Joe’s Jeans | Cuff: Kendra Scott | Sunnies: Karen Walker via Ditto (rent them for FREE for one month with code: ALLDOLLEDUPBLOG at checkout) | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Heels: Steve Madden

Hope you guys all had a wonderful weekend, and that your Monday will be short.  🙂

Basic

I’m always on the hunt for good basic tanks during the summer months.  But they are surprisingly hard to find.  I mean really, is it too much to ask for a solid tank that can be dressed up or dressed down, worn with shorts, skirts, and denim, doesn’t shrink when you wash it, and at a great price point?  Apparently so! So when I stumbled on this cute Free People tank, I knew I had to give it a try.  And I’m glad I did, because I’m loving it.  Plus it’s only $20 and comes in a ton of colors.  So if you are like me and looking for a go-to tank, I would highly recommend this one!

Hope you guys are having a great week.  I am SO happy that it’s Wednesday already!

Play The Field

The weather has been so warm here in Salt Lake the last few days, that it feels like it’s officially time to put away my heavy winter jackets and break out my lighter Spring jackets.  So of course the first one I had to pull out  was my favorite field jacket.

And if you don’t have a jacket similar to this yet, then I highly recommend putting one at the top of your list this Spring.  It is the perfect transitional piece and is great to throw on and go almost all year around.  So if you are in the market, I am sharing my favorites below-all under $100!

The Perfect White T-Shirt

I love to dress up and try different looks for the blog.  But at the end of the day, I am a t-shirt and jeans kind of a girl.  And let me tell you, I have been hunting for the perfect white long-sleeve t-shirt for ages.  But it seems all of the ones that I try are too see-through, the fit isn’t quite right, or they shrink like crazy and don’t last.  So I am happy to finally report that I have officially found the perfect white t-shirt.  The fit is fantastic, it isn’t see-through at all, and washes up perfectly.  Plus the fabrication is so lovely, I know it was worth the price and will last me for years to come.  So if you too have been on the hunt for the perfect white tee, then ladies, this post is for you!

T-Shirt: Cabi (also comes in turquoise!) | Skinnies: Citizens, similar | Necklace: Cabi | Hat: Francesca’s | Cuff: Stella & Dot | Ring: Kendra Scott | Bag: Tory Burch (my FAVE! also comes in tan and red!) | Sunnies: Prada (try them for one month FREE with code: ALLDOLLEDUPBLOG at check out!) | Heels: Seychelles (limited sizing), similar

Happy Friday, ya filthy animals!   🙂 🙂

xoxoxox

P.S.  How cute is my little buddy in today’s post?  Normally she is totally camera shy, but apparently she likes my white tee so much, she wanted to be in the pictures too!

White Out

I love white bags and have been wanting to add one to my collection for quite some time.  And while I only had three specific features I knew the bag had to have (saffiano leather, gold hardware, and a structured shape), I had a really hard time finding just the right one.  Well thank goodness for Rebecca Minkoff and her huge spring sample sale coinciding with my birthday this year!  I was able to snatch up the Avery tote which is not only gorgeous (and one of my favorite RM bags EVER), but it also met all of my white bag requirements.  AND the icing on top of the cake?  I was able to get it for less than half of the regular retail price!  My favorite kind of purchase!

Back To Basics

Sometimes it’s hard to beat a basic tee back to boyfriend jeans. In fact, it’s one of my favorite go-to looks.  It’s also a super easy outfit to take from day to night- just add a fab pair of heels and some statement jewelry, and you’re off!  Easy as one, two, three!

Wishing you all a wonderful Tuesday!

Muah!

Mustard

In my book, navy and mustard is a pretty tried and true color combination-no matter the season, no matter the trend.  And I am loving the playful look of pairing a more formal top and jacket with ripped up, light wash jeans, and nude pumps.  It’s unexpected, yet somehow still classic…

My family was reminded this weekend of just how precious life is.  Everything can change in an instant, so be sure to tell the ones you love that you love them, and cherish every moment you have with your family and friends.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Pump It Up

I am definitely a high heel kind of girl.  Not a huge fan of flats, and while I do love boots, if I had my choice, let’s be honest, I’d wear a fab pair of pumps everyday.  And so it should come as no surprise that this season I am especially loving making a statement with my footwear.  Don’t you just love that shoes aren’t just shoes anymore, but rather outfit completing accessories?

I had such a fun weekend in Chicago with friends (of course it went by way too fast).  But I couldn’t be happier to be home with my sweet family.  Well that, and the fact that we are only 2 days away from heading back to Nicaragua for a little vacay.  And let me tell you, I am so excited I can hardly stand it.  You can see my pics from last year’s vacation to the darling town of San Juan Del Sur here.

Happy Monday!!!

Raven + Lily

I am pretty sure that yesterday was the first Monday that I haven’t shared a blog post since I launched All Dolled Up.  And if you follow me on Instagram (and if you don’t, you should: alldolledupblog), then you know I have been in Boulder cheering on my hubby at Cyclorcross Nationals.  And while we had a really fun weekend, horrible roads plus a sick husband on the drive home meant having to unexpectedly stay the night in a hotel in the middle-of-nowhere Wyoming.  So my apologies for missing yesterday!

But now that I am back, I wanted to share with you an amazing company called Raven + Lily.   I love to shop fair trade and have shared quite a few fair trade finds and companies on the blog in the past, and so I thought it was important to share the ah-mazingness of Raven + Lily with all of you.  Raven + Lily is a company founded by two women who wanted to use fashion and ethical design as a “a platform to utilize those passions to alleviate poverty among women”.  The necklace I am wearing in today’s post is a favorite of mine from their Ethiopian Collection and was created by HIV positive women from handmade beads made of melted bullet casings from previous war conflicts.  Talk about a powerful statement necklace.  You can read more about Raven + Lily here, and you can shop their incredibly gorgeous collection here, including designs from Ethiopia, Cambodia, and India.  When we are so blessed to live in this great country, and live the lives that we do, I think it’s incredibly important to give back when we can and support companies that empower women around the globe…

Giveaway!

I am so excited to be teaming up with one of my very favorite Etsy shops today, Basil The Cat!  I first discovered this great shop when I was on the hunt for a bubble necklace a couple of years ago.  And I discovered that Rachel not only made them by hand with a beautiful vintage feel (see this post-her’s is the turquoise version), but she also created all sorts of gorgeous one-of-a-kind vintage pieces.  Swoon worthy, really.  And let me tell you, I have a been a huge fan of hers ever since.  So when she contacted me recently to not only give away one of the gorgeous Elephant lockets that I am wearing below, but also offer a 20% discount to All Dolled Up readers for the ENTIRE month of November, how could I say no?  And so today my friends, is your lucky day!
