I initially saw this dress on one of my very favorite fashion bloggers and fell in LOVE. But when I saw the price, I was definitely hesitant about taking the plunge. So when I stumbled on an amazing lookalike for less than $25, I didn’t even hesitate. Not only is this dress totally on trend and SO fun with the tassels, but the quality is fantastic. I am normally a color wearing gal, but lately, all I have been wanting to wear are the neutrals in my closet. So in an effort to get myself out of a colorless rut, I decided to break out my favorite geometric print pink pants. And boy am I glad that I did. I can’t tell you how good it felt to infuse some color and a little life into my outfit! So if you are feeling in a rut or unsure of what to wear this week, try giving a pop of color a try! Hopefully it will revive you like it revived me!!!!

Lemon Lime

YOU GUYS! I am back! My apologies for the radio silence on the blog last week! I was traveling for work and on vacation and between our crazy adventures and some unexpected technical issues with my memory card (I lost all of the outfit posts I had planned!), I just couldn’t get any content up. But boy did I miss you all and couldn’t be happier to be back and sharing today’s post!

If you follow me on Instagram (and if you don’t, you can follow me here), then you know I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with the incredibly talented LC Photography a couple of weeks ago. I had such an amazing time working with them and was so happy to finally have the perfect opportunity to shoot my beloved neon tulle skirt from The Girl That Loves. Tulle is all the rage right now and The Girl That Loves has an assortment of incredible colors and styles that are also extremely comfortable. Down On the Farm

Our weather has been a little crazy the past few days (nice one minute, then raining, or snowing the next!), so between that, and our busy schedules, it’s been a little hard to coordinate for blog photos this week. So yesterday after work, J and I decided to meet at a beautiful historic farm pretty close to our house. And even though it was freezing cold while we were shooting, I loved the location and can’t wait to shoot more photos there-even if we did get chased down by some whopping big snow geese!

And do you know what else I am loving? The simplicity of today’s outfit. Black and white is all the rage this season, and I love it paired back to simple chambray, nude pumps, and a bold lip. Another one of those looks that is so easy to put together, but makes you looked you really put some effort in!

Pedal to the Metal

When J and I spent a few days in Red Lodge, MT on our way home from his grandmother’s funeral last week, one of our very favorite things about it was that we could ride our bikes from our hotel to wherever we needed or wanted to go-from daytime adventures to dinner and drinks out on the town. And fortunately for me, I had thought to pack my go-to chambray sleeveless shirt, and Marc Jacobs hobo (that also doubles as a cross body bag)-both of which made for perfect riding attire!

I can’t believe I am hitting the road again for work today. Pretty sure I haven’t slept in my own bed for more than 4 nights in a row in the last month. Or completely unpacked from any of my trips, if I’m really being honest. 🙂 Guess I know one thing I’ll be doing this weekend.

Wine Country

In my mind there isn’t much that can top a warm sunny day spent wine tasting with friends in gorgeous Sonoma. And because J decided to join me on a recent business trip to SF, we were afforded the opportunity to do just that. A perfect day filled to the brim with good food, sunshine, beautiful wineries, a stretch limo, lunch at my favorite restaurant, and of course, lots of laughter and memories shared with good friends we don’t get to see often enough…

So I have to make a confession. I didn’t pack anything on my trip to wear to wine country. I made the assumptoin that I would have time to do a little shopping in the city, but ended up being so busy with work, that unfortunately that was not the case. But even though I had to do a little scrambling Saturday morning to put something together, it was a good reminder that a chambray shirt is a perfect (and easy!) choice for just about any occasion.
