Candy Crush

Well no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t quite make it a week without these pumps making an appearance on the blog.  I just love the fun pop of color they bring to any outfit.  So if you don’t have a fun, candy colored pump in your wardrobe, then its high time to add a pair!  I promise,  you will get more wear out of them than you could even anticipate!

Down On the Farm

Our weather has been a little crazy the past few days (nice one minute, then raining, or snowing the next!), so between that, and our busy schedules, it’s been a little hard to coordinate for blog photos this week. So yesterday after work, J and I decided to meet at a beautiful historic farm pretty close to our house.  And even though it was freezing cold while we were shooting, I loved the location and can’t wait to shoot more photos there-even if we did get chased down by some whopping big snow geese!

And do you know what else I am loving? The simplicity of today’s outfit.  Black and white is all the rage this season, and I love it paired back to simple chambray, nude pumps, and a bold lip.  Another one of those looks that is so easy to put together, but makes you looked you really put some effort in!

Minted

If you didn’t add anything in the shade of mint to your Spring/Summer wardrobe last year, then it should be at the top of your list this season. I know I for one, am happy to see that it’s still going strong this Spring.  It is such a beautiful, fresh hue, and looks fantastic back to so many different accent colors, skin tones, and pretty much every single hair color out there.  Mint really is the perfect complement to the warmer weather we all are either anxiously anticipating, or are already lucky enough to be enjoying…

I also just have to comment on how much I am LOVING my mirrored Ray-bans.  They are such a fun purchase and I love how you can dress them up or dress them down.  I would highly recommend them if you are looking to add a new pair of shades to your spring ensembles!

Glam

I’ve learned a lot about my own personal style since I started on the journey of writing this blog.  I’ve learned that I like pants and jeans.  A lot.  I only like to wear dresses and skirts in the warm summer months.  I hate tights. But I really like button down shirts.  I love jewelry and accessories, but even though I own a lot of fun costume jewelry (and good jewelry too), I find that I tend to gravitate towards the same pieces on a daily basis.  And while I probably dress up a little more than most of my friends, I would still define my style as casual.  I’ve learned that glam isn’t necessarily a go-to look for  me, but it is definitely one that I enjoy every now and again-especially when I feel like changing things up during the winter months.  And I have found that perhaps the easiest, no-fuss way to achieve a glam look (while still maintaining a casual vibe), is pairing a  faux (of course!) fur vest, a pair of over-the-knee boots, some chic gold jewelry, and a bold red lip back to a simple sweater and favorite pair of jeans.  A glam look that even the most casual of us gals can easily achieve…

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I have been miserably sick, but still managed to salvage somewhat of a decent weekend-with the highlight being soaking my aches and cough away in the hot tub with Christmas music playing in the background, and snow falling all around.  Sick or not, this really is the most wonderful time of the year!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
