Sometimes there is nothing better than a great stripe. It’s a tried and true print that never goes out of style and looks great in tops, jackets, pants, shoes, even bags! So if you don’t have any stripes in your closet, or if you have been too busy wearing florals this spring and neglecting your stripes (like me!), then it’s definitely time to revisit! And just in time for the weekend!
Jacket: H&M (old), shop my favorite (under $100!) here | Stripe Tee: JCrew (great layering piece-I have it in several colors AND it’s on sale!) | Skinnies: Paige (best skinnies ever-they completely hold their shape and don’t stretch out!) | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Clutch: Clare Vivier, similar, this one is on my wishlist | Pumps: Marc Fisher (old) LOVE these
Hope you all had a great week! Here’s to a fabulous weekend!
Happy Monday, friends! Hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was filled with home renovation projects, friends, and lots and lots of sunshine and biking. BUT despite the fantastic weather, there was definitely still a chill in the air. And this time of year, when temps are still in that in-between phase, I find that a denim jacket is the perfect weight to layer on over your outfit to keep you warm and stylish. And I am loving this pale blue, white washed version from Nordstrom. It’s a nice change-up from tried and true blue and gives me different options for styling than my go-to JCrew denim jacket. Plus, something about the pale color just feels extra fresh for Spring…
Denim Jacket: Nordstrom, my other favorite is here | Buttondown: Gap (old), similar, similar | Black Skinnies: 7 for all mankind | Necklace: Raven+Lily | Bracelet: JCrew (old), similar | Ring: Kendra Scott | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Bag: Tory Burch | Pumps: Jessica Simpson
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!!
There is nothing I feel more comfortable in than a basic tee, a cute moto jacket, destroyed skinnies, and a fun pair of pumps. I guess you could say it’s my uniform, and definitely my go-to ensemble when I don’t know what to wear (which happens way more often than you might think!). And while I normally gravitate towards 7 for all mankind as my denim of choice, these Citizens have quickly become my current favorites! They have the perfect amount of distressing AND they are super comfortable. Plus, you can score them on sale here!
Jacket: Express (old), LOVE this, similar | T-Shirt: PINK (best t’s ever!) | Skinnies: Citizens of Humanity, also love these (which are under $100!) | Necklace: Stella & Dot | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Bag: Clare Vivier (sold out), OBSESSED with this one | Pumps: Jessica Simpson
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by!
A yellow blazer is a piece I have been wanting to add to my wardrobe for the last 5 years, but I have never been able to find quite the right one. And after searching high and low for so long, I had all but given up until I saw this one in the window at Zara in downtown Seattle a couple of weeks ago. I knew the minute I saw it, that it was exactly what I had been looking for! And I absolutely LOVE it! I know I’ve said it before, but blazers are a great investment piece to add to your wardrobe. Not only are they classic and never go out of style, but you can wear them to just about any event-whether it be social or work related. So if you are looking for items to add to your wardrobe that go a long way and create a lot of outfit options without breaking the bank, then be sure to shop my favorite blazer picks below…
Blazer: Zara (also comes in navy), love this, this, this and this | Peplum Top: Torn by Ronny Kobo (sold out), similar (under $15!!) | Skinnies: Paige | Necklace: Kenneth Jay Lane | Ring: Kendra Scott | Cuff: Lucky Brand | Sunnies: Karen Walker, similar lower price version | Clutch: Clare Vivier | Pumps: Macy’s (on sale for under $20!!!!!!)
Hope you all have a fun, safe, and wonderful holiday weekend! Happy Easter!
I tend to gravitate towards the same kinds of items: button-downs, t-shirts and cardis, black leather jackets and ripped jeans-if you follow along with my blog, then you’ve probably noticed! lol But one of the best parts of having a blog is that it forces me to take a look at my closet and make smart decisions when adding to my wardrobe. So when I saw this shirt at Zara when I was in Seattle for business meetings last week, I knew it would be a great investment. Not only is a silhouette that I don’t own anything similar to, but it is also a print that is completely different from anything else I own (and perfect for Spring, of course!)! So my advice to you guys today? Even though it is easy to buy the same kinds of things that we like to gravitate towards, it is important to push yourself outside of your comfort zone and add unique pieces to your closet that you will keep for years to come!
Blouse: Zara (also love this pretty v-neck version), similar, similar (under $11!!!!)| Skinnies: Paige | Watch: Michael Kors | Ring: Stella & Dot | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Bag: Clare Vivier (sold out), LOVE this one | Pumps: Marc Fisher (old), obsessing over these (and they are super comfy-I own the leopard version!)
Thank you guys so much for stopping by! I appreciate each and every single one of your more than I can even begin to express!
