Weekend Wear – All Dolled Up

I hardly ever wear flats. Part of it is because I am short, so I feel pretty short (and stumpy!) when I’m not in heels. But the other reason is because I have super narrow feet (and big!) feet, and I just can’t ever seem to find any that fit me properly! But when I spotted these leopard sneakers on the clearance rack at Macy’s a few weeks ago during a work trip (my feet were aching from being in heels and on my feet all day!), I thought it might not hurt to give them a try. And, while I can’t say I’m fully convinced that I pull them off, I am so glad that I am least trying. They have actually been the perfect commuter shoe when I’m working in the city, and I have even found myself gravitating towards them to run errands, or to ride my cruiser to dinner. And as much as I love my pumps and heels, I guess it isn’t really feasible to wear them everywhere….

I travel a lot both personally and professionally, so am always on the hunt for comfy layering pieces to keep me cozy to and fro. And it most definitely is. It’s just one of those easy pieces that can be tossed on over just about anything, can be easily tucked into your purse or carry on for travel, and my very favorite part (besides the stripes, obviously)? The cute suede elbow patches!
