First of all, I LOVE the splatter print of this dress. There is just something so nostalgic about it to me. I think it’s because it reminds me of a denim jacket I had when I was a kid with neon splatter paint all over it!

Maxi dresses are always a favorite silhouette of mine during the summer months. But the dress in today’s post just might be my favorite maxi ever. I absolutely adore the unique cut, the fact that it’s striped, and you’ll never believe it, but it’s fantastic quality and less than $25. Oh how I love me some stripes! And this dress? Besides being striped, it is perfect on so many levels. Super comfy, easy to dress up or dress down, fun to style a lot of different ways, and it’s under $35! Pedal to the Metal

When J and I spent a few days in Red Lodge, MT on our way home from his grandmother’s funeral last week, one of our very favorite things about it was that we could ride our bikes from our hotel to wherever we needed or wanted to go-from daytime adventures to dinner and drinks out on the town. And fortunately for me, I had thought to pack my go-to chambray sleeveless shirt, and Marc Jacobs hobo (that also doubles as a cross body bag)-both of which made for perfect riding attire!

I am so happy that maxi dresses are back on the docket for spring this year. And perhaps what makes me even happier, is the new trend of tying the bottom of your maxi in a knot. It is the perfect (and oh-so-simple) way to change-up an old favorite, making it feel fresh and new for the season!
