Midi

I am on the short side at 5’3″, so I tend to shy away from midi-style dresses and skirts.  Because of my smaller stature, longer lengths typically tend to swallow me up and not be particularly flattering.  But because it’s a style I love, I do keep trying it in different silhouettes and prints as the seasons change, hoping to find something that will work for me.  And this spring,  I FINALLY found a midi-dress that is not only comfy and has pockets, but the print and style actually work well for my shorter frame.

White Out

I am seriously loving white everything right now.  From dresses, to nails, to tops, to handbags, I’m finding myself gravitating towards it more than usual this season.  And I have a feeling that as the days continue to get warmer, I will keep on reaching for all of the white pieces in my closet. This is definitely a trend that is easy for anyone to get behind!

Casual

I wear my army green surplus jackets all the time.  So when I happened to stumble on my favorite silhouette in a pale pink color, I was 100% sold.  I love putting a new spin on an old classic, because not only is it comfortable, but it still feels fresh and new at the same time.

Romper Time

I LOVE rompers!  So I am really glad that they are back in a big way this season.  And even though the temps have been a little chilly in the SLC, I have still been able to wear some of my favorites by pairing them with denim jackets and cozy cardigans (like in today’s post). With all the crazy weather we’ve been having here in the SLC this Spring, layering has definitely been a must!

Two of my favorite things about the Spring season?  Dresses and pretty fresh flowers.  I’m also especially loving wedges this Spring.  Oh yeah, and anything pink.  So I guess you could say everything in today’s outfit is a favorite item for the Spring season!  What are your favorite items for the Spring this year?  I’d love to hear, so feel free to leave a comment below!

Geometric

Apparently I wasn’t the only one craving this jacket, because it sold out and was re-stocked twice before I was finally able to order it!  So if you are looking for something fun to add to your closet, this is a fantastic option.  Not only will it go with a ton of different things, but it’s just $30 and really nice quality! Can’t beat that!

Statement Shoes

I used to be a Footwear Buyer and Designer when I first began my career in the Fashion Industry.  So I have always had a fondness for shoes.  In fact, often times when I put an outfit together, I plan it around a specific pair of shoes that I feel like wearing.  So when I saw these stunners in NYC a couple of weeks ago, I absolutely could not resist them.  Not only are they super fun (and totally on trend with the tassels and lace-up styling), but are really comfy to boot.  Not into the silver? Well don’t worry.  They also come in a few other colors, which I have linked below as well.DSC_7431 DSC_7434 DSC_7457 DSC_7452 DSC_7502 DSC_7474 DSC_7438 DSC_7464 DSC_7490DSC_7478 DSC_7496

Jacket: cabi (my favorite!!)

Dress: Shein c/o (runs a little small through the shoulders and hips-so size up if in between sizes! for reference, I’m wearing a small, but wishing I had the medium!)

Sunnies: Prada c/o Ditto

Clutch: Clare V.

Heels: Sam Edelman (also come in pink, blue, turquoise, and nude, and neon orange)

Lips: Stila Stay All Day in Venezia

Happy Wednesday, my sweet friends!  Just a reminder (or in case you didn’t know), I was selected as a finalist to be on the cover of the September issue of Redbook Magazine (ahhhhh!!!)! But I need your vote! So if you wouldn’t mind, I would be so appreciative if you would CLICK HERE and vote for me!

Thank you!

Abby

Printed

You guys probably know by now, but I love long-sleeved dresses.  They are so great for this time of year.  And when they are affordable (this one is less than $20), and present an easy way to add color and print to your wardrobe, then I say, why not take the plunge?

Girly

I’m not the most quintessentially “girly” dresser.  And while I love dresses and skirts, I typically tend to gravitate towards denim.  However, when I spotted this cute skirt, tied with a bow, I knew it would be a great piece to add to my wardrobe.  Especially since it’s under $30!

Plus how great are these Valentino dupes?  Not only are they super comfy (and cute!), but they are under $70!

Skirt: Shein c/o (love! such great quality; I’m wearing a medium for reference; also comes in black)

Necklace: BaubleBar (just ordered it in hot pink too!)

Clutch: Lany c/o (stay tuned for an upcoming giveaway!)

Sunnies: Karen Walker via Ditto (rent them for free for one month with code: ALLDOLLEDUP at checkout!)

Pumps: BCBG (SO comfy and come in tons of colors!)

Hope you all had a great weekend.  Happy Monday!

JCP

I was recently asked by StyleWatch and JCPenney to participate in a blogger challenge.  And I happily obliged!  I was given a $50 gift card and tasked with putting together a whole outfit, or selecting a statement piece to build an outfit around.  And let me tell you, it was really fun deciding which option to choose.

It had been a little while since I had been into a JCPenney, and it was a really positive experience to get to reacquaint myself with the store.  But more than anything, I was pleasantly surprised to find a cute brand called Belle + Sky (TM).  I ended up trying on armfuls of adorable things (I had to make 2 trips to the fitting room!), but ultimately settled on this hot pink moto jacket.  It was originally $100, but was on sale for 40% off, and I found a coupon online which placed it right within my budget!  So that was a huge score.  I also ended up picking up a couple of other cute dresses (on my own dime!) that I ‘ve linked below!

If you all haven’t been into a JCPenney lately, then I would highly recommend going.  And while you’re there, be sure to check out Belle + Sky (TM).  Their entire Spring line is just darling and really reasonably priced!

Have a great weekend!
