I am guessing if you follow this blog regularly, then it should come as no surprise that a t-shirt, ripped skinnies, and a great pair of pumps is my go-too outfit. It’s such an easy combo and works perfectly for so many different types of events and outings. And while I am fond of this outfit all year round, I especially love it in the Fall season when I can incorporate another one of my very favorite items-a classic moto jacket!

Secret Garden

Well, despite my best intentions last week, I just could not get it together to get any content up on the blog. I thought I would have plenty of time to snap and share outfit photos, but we were so busy boating, rafting, fishing, hitting Glacier National Park, and enjoying family and friends, that there just wasn’t a lot of downtime. So my apologies for the lack of posts!

Fortunately, J and I did manage to snap off a few outfit shots on the last night of our trip at my mom and dad’s house-including these photos taken in my mom’s GORGEOUS garden. My parent’s yard is stunning and I wish I could take blog photos there all the time! In fact, it was in this very garden that I took some of my senior pictures! Crazy to think of how long ago that was!

Casual

J and I are officially on vacation this week. Hooray! And because we are road tripping from Utah to Montana, and will be spending our time on the water, in Glacier National Park, biking, and hanging with family and friends, my attire for the week is going to be pretty casual. In fact, most days you will probably find me in something pretty similar to today’s outfit: a comfy worn-in tee, destroyed denim shorts, casual wedges, minimal makeup and jewelry, and less than styled hair. And so today, I thought I’d show you a glimpse of the “everyday” me and hopefully provide some inspiration for what to wear in your real, everyday summer casual life!

Neon Crush

Clearly I am obsessed with neon yellow right now. It is such a bright and happy color and just oozes summer time to me. So when I saw this neon yellow lace dress at JCrew, I knew it was the perfect thing to add to my closet. And because I wanted to be able to wear it not just on special occasions, but on casual ones too, pairing it back to an uber cool surplus vest seemed like just the ticket to tone it down a notch. And if you’re a regular follower of this blog, then you know I love a good completer piece. I have to tell you guys, my travel schedule has been so crazy, between vacation, work, and a bike race this weekend for the hubs, I woke up in 5 (5!!!) different town last week. So I couldn’t be happier that I am going to be home (and sleeping in my own bed!) for the next two weeks! Hallelujah!

I love white bags and have been wanting to add one to my collection for quite some time. And while I only had three specific features I knew the bag had to have (saffiano leather, gold hardware, and a structured shape), I had a really hard time finding just the right one. Well thank goodness for Rebecca Minkoff and her huge spring sample sale coinciding with my birthday this year! I was able to snatch up the Avery tote which is not only gorgeous (and one of my favorite RM bags EVER), but it also met all of my white bag requirements. AND the icing on top of the cake? I was able to get it for less than half of the regular retail price! My favorite kind of purchase!

Working Girl

Happy Friday, sweet friends! I hope you have all had a great week. I was on the road for work, so despite my best intentions to get some blog posts up and running, my nights were spent getting caught up and prepped for meetings. But today, I’m back! And I am excited to share with you a typical outfit that I would wear to work. Because I am on the road so much for my job (you can read about what I do here), on planes, in cars, and in and out of Executive meetings, I am always looking for work appropriate (and fashionable) outfits that are also super comfy and practical. The Express Portofino shirt has become a staple in my closet (it comes in TONS of cute colors and prints), and I love pairing it back to simple black skinnies, basic jewelry, and a fun pump or heel for a little pop of color. I have found this to be a great basic formula for an easy wear-to-work outfit that works for just about any occaision. Not to mention that this combo also looks fantastic with a blazer for a little more dressed up look!

L’eggs Sweepstakes!

Do you guys remember L’eggs when they were sold in the iconic egg packaging? I know I sure do. And because I always thought of them as an ’80’s staple, I was surprised (and excited!) when they contacted me and asked me to be a part of their 40th birthday celebration and re-launch of their limited edition egg packaging. Now to be totally honest, I have always been on the fence when it comes to pantyhose and tights, and always have been. But with the popularity of tights and pantyhose over the last year, I figured why not give them a try. And I have to say-I am SO happy that I did. In today’s post, I am wearing the sun-tan shade which gave my winter white legs just the right hint of color and smoothed out all of the unevenness caused by those long winter months of nothing but pants. In fact, when we shot these photos, my hubby didn’t even realize that I was wearing pantyhose. BUT he did tell me that my legs looked great! I have been on the hunt for a pair of sequin pants for quite a while now. And believe me, it was much more difficult than I could have ever anticipated. So I was absolutely thrilled when I found this fantastic black pair of sequin pants at Bebe for a steal of a price. In my opinion, they are the perfect holiday party attire. And while I am loving them back to plaid, I can’t wait to style them more ways this holiday season!
