Favorites

Not all outfits are created equal.  There are always some that I love more than others, and this is definitely one of those.  Perhaps it’s because this dress reminds me of something that I wore when I auditioned for collegiate music programs back in the day, or perhaps it’s because it incorporates so many of my favorite things (surplus vest, yellow pumps, Panama hat, dress with pockets, etc.) into one look.  Whatever the reason, this is just one of those outfits that really feels like “me”, and one I can’t wait to wear again!

Cold Shoulder

It felt like spring here in the SLC this weekend, so I used it as an opportunity to take my pretty new sweater out for a spin.  And I have to say, it really is the perfect transitional piece.  Not only are the colors and the off-the-shoulder styling perfect for spring, but the fabric is super warm and cozy, which makes it appropriate to wear now.  This is definitely a piece that will be getting a lot of use in my wardrobe as we transition from winter to spring.

Destroyed Denim

A lot of you ask me for denim recommendations under $100.  So today’s post is for you, ladies!  Whether they are in fashion or not, I always have a few pairs of destroyed denim in my closet.  It’s just a style that I have always loved, and will probably always love, until I’m too old to wear them anymore!  Ha! The pair I’m wearing in today’s post is not only perfectly distressed and super comfy, but they are an all-time favorite of mine.  And the best part?  They are currently fully stocked in all sizes and UNDER $90!!!!!!!!

White After Labor Day

I’m baaaaaack!  Been a bit of a rough week for me over here.  I got some bad spider bites while we were on a float trip this past weekend and have been having an allergic reaction to them in the form of hives all over my arms and legs!  Gross!  Didn’t figure you all would want to see that on the blog, so I’ve just been taking it easy this week.

Fortunately, I started to feel a little better last night which is why I’m finally back today.  And good thing too, because I want to talk about how much I love white pants!!  I was so hesitant to buy them at first because I knew I would get them dirty (which I pretty much do every time I wear them), but it has been so worth it.  Not only do they look great with almost every cute summer top in my closet (especially bright colors!), but I can’t wait to transition these bad boys into Fall with booties and oversized sweaters!  Who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day???

Vest: Tommy Girl (old), similar, similar | Tank: Express (my favorite cami AND it’s reversible and comes in tons of colors/prints!) | White Skinnie: AG (on sale!), also love these (on sale for under $50!), and these | Necklace: Stella & Dot | Cuff: Lucky Brand(old), just ordered this | Ring: Kendra Scott | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Heels: INC (my faves! they are SO comfy and come in several colors)

Hope you are all having a great week!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Tried and Tulle

To say I can’t get enough this Lookbook Store jacket would be an understatement.  I adore it.  I also adore this American Eagle dress-even though it’s a couple of years old.  And with the tulle trend still in frenzy mode, I am certainly glad that I have held onto it.  It’s definitely on frequent repeat in my closet and even on the blog!  You can see another favorite way I’ve styled it here

So I have to say, I absolutely LOVE these shoes, and I am super bummed about the dye transfer on them around my ankles (yikes!!).  So I have to ask, does anyone out there have any good products or remedies to remove denim markings from suede?  Please share if you do!  Otherwise, these shoes are going to have to be worn with pants only from here on out!

Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments and support.  I appreciate you guys so much!
