Skirted

I tend to gravitate towards dresses.  But the Grandstand skirt from the Cabi Spring line just might be my favorite thing in my closet right now.  I seriously love everything about it.  The fabric, the stripes, the pockets, the tie waist.  It’s really an all-around perfect piece in my book.  Plus it goes with so many different things, I know it’s going to be a go-to in my wardrobe this season.

Is it just me, or does this feel like the longest week EVER?  Hopefully your week is going by a lot faster than mine.  I am so ready for the weekend already.

Thanks for stopping by!

Shades of Burgundy

I typically tend to gravitate towards red during the holiday season.  But another great color option (that is often forgotten in place of its brighter counterpart this time of year), is burgundy.  And I am loving the soft combo of this taupe crushed velvet dress back to burgundy accessories and a dark lip.  And would you believe this dress is on sale for less than $30?  It would be perfect for a Christmas or NYE party!

Olde Stash Collaboration

A couple of months ago, I was approached to do a collaboration with a really cool brand called Olde Stash, out of my hometown in Kalispell, Montana.  And because I am such a huge fan of this brand, and wanted to have the opportunity to share Olde Stash with all of you, of course I said yes!  If you follow me on Instagram, you might remember me sharing a little teaser of my time in the studio partnering with the owner (and creative genius!) behind Olde Stash, to design my very own custom bag. And if you don’t remember, here’s a little refresher!

dsc_9964 dsc_9948 dsc_9921 dsc_9959And one of the coolest things about this brand is that not only is my bag one-of-a-kind because I had a hand in the design process, but every bag that Olde Stash creates is also one-of-a kind.  All materials are purchased in small batches, and each piece is not only made to order, but hand crafted in-house in Kalispell, Montana.  And in addition to being totally gorgeous and unique, these bags are created using top of the line materials, including 3mm wool from Germany (the colors are all so beautiful and vibrant), and world-famous Horween leather, that has been tanned in Chicago for over 100 years.

And I have to tell you guys, I used to be a handbag buyer and designer for Sundance Catalog, and have traveled both domestically and abroad sourcing product, and I have never seen anything else like these bags in the marketplace.  They are truly stunning and so unique.  Whenever I carry this bag, I literally have people stop me on the street, in the airport, at work, wherever I may be, to ask me where they can find one.  And so of course today, I couldn’t be more excited to share Olde Stash with you.

Flower Run

I love having a Trader Joe’s right by my house.  Not only do I love grocery shopping there, but I love stocking up on fresh flowers for my house every week at ridiculously affordable prices.  And you know what else I love?  These jeans-which are also ridiculously affordable at less than $75!  I also own in them in black and they are so comfy, and hold their shape really well.  They are seriously my favorite denim right now.  So trust me when I tell you that you need them in your life!

Athleisure

I lead a super active lifestyle here in the SLC, so am always on the lookout for cute athleisure clothes that I can wear to the gym or on a hike, and also out and about to run errands.  So when Fabletics opened a store front at our City Creek Center, I couldn’t have been more excited.  Not only is their clothing super cute with pieces that work well for an active lifestyle, but the pricing is really affordable too.  So if you haven’t checked out Fabletics yet, I would highly recommend that you do!

First Day Of Fall

Happy first day of Fall, friends!  Can you believe that summer has officially come and gone?  I always hate it when summer goes, but I am definitely ready for all things pumpkin and cozy.  The only problem is, it’s been blazing hot here in the SLC, which has made it nearly impossible to layer up.  But I’ve still been able to get a start wearing my favorite Fall trends by adding things like lace-up pumps, and cocoon vests to my looks.  A perfect (and easy) way to get that Fall vibe while the weather is still hot.

P.S.  I have been having issues with my camera, which is why my images haven’t been quite as sharp lately.  Working on getting it fixed, so thanks for bearing with me!

Vintage Suede Jacket

When I was home for a wedding over the weekend, I bought a really gorgeous green suede bomber jacket (coming to the blog soon!).  I certainly was not anticipating purchasing one while running errands in my home-town with my mom, but it just happened to be one of those magical finds you sometimes stumble upon at TJMaxx. Anyway, when we got home, my mom disappeared upstairs for a while, and when she came back down, she had this gorgeous cognac suede jacket in hand.  I learned she purchased it when she visited Florence while living abroad in France in 1971, and she wanted me to have it!  I can’t even tell you how thrilled I was.  Not only is it gorgeous and perfect for the Fall season, but what a cool piece of my mom’s history to have.

Labor Day

This time of the year makes me feel so conflicted inside.  Part of me is so ready for pumpkin everything, blanket scarves, booties, and cozy layers.  But the other half hates to see the days get shorter, the temps get cooler, and to have to put away all of my favorite summer dresses and sandals.  So this week, I am embracing the last few days of summer and wearing all summer everything.  Like this dress.  Not only is it super cute, but seriously, how perfect is it for Labor Day weekend?

Did you guys know that this dress can be worn multiple ways?  It can be worn strapless, off-the-shoulder (see my #sundaynightstyle post over on Insta!), and of course, one shoulder, like I’ve styled it in this post.  How cool is that?

Hope you guys had a great weekend!

Abby

White Out

I am seriously loving white everything right now.  From dresses, to nails, to tops, to handbags, I’m finding myself gravitating towards it more than usual this season.  And I have a feeling that as the days continue to get warmer, I will keep on reaching for all of the white pieces in my closet. This is definitely a trend that is easy for anyone to get behind!

Casual

I wear my army green surplus jackets all the time.  So when I happened to stumble on my favorite silhouette in a pale pink color, I was 100% sold.  I love putting a new spin on an old classic, because not only is it comfortable, but it still feels fresh and new at the same time.
