Though the seasons and trends come and go, long sleeve dresses have been at the top of my list for quite a while now. And this dress is a definite favorite. I love the soft pastel print, and the lightweight fabric makes it a perfect transitional piece to wear as the weather warms up (and it’s definitely getting warm around here)!

Maybe I should apologize in advance, but from here on out, you guys are going to be seeing a lot of off-the-shoulder tops and dresses on my blog. It’s is just one of those trends that I seem to keep reaching for. And this top? A hands down favorite of mine. I love the strapless style, the color, the fabric, and especially the price. In years past, I haven’t typically had a lot of blue in my closet. But this season, it seems to be a color that I am really gravitating towards. And this dress from JCPenney, has been a staple in my closet this spring. Not only does it work great with a cardi or denim jacket, but now that the weather is warming up, I am loving how it looks paired with a denim vest.

I tend to gravitate towards denim jackets when I’m looking for a layering piece to wear over a dress. But this spring, I have been starting to reach towards cardigans more often. And I have to say, I am loving the look and the ease of pairing a cardigan with a dress. A longer cardi is also a great option to wear over a dress that borders on the shorter side for a little added coverage.

I love a good tunic paired back to skinny jeans and a staple pair of pumps. It’s definitely a go-to look for me. And when I’m on the hunt for a new tunic, Free People is always a brand that I look to first. They have some of the best tops around, in my opinion. Particularly if you are looking for something flowy and comfortable for summer.
