We have been having the rainiest weather here in Utah, which has made it really difficult to take outfit photos. So my apologies for being a little quiet over here on the blog. Hopefully once we get through this week, our normal sunny weather will decide to return to us! But today, I wanted to share one of my favorite tops with you. And not just because I love it, but because you can score it on MAJOR sale today! Not only is it the perfect length (a little longer than most button downs), but it has super cute grosgrain ribbon trim, and is the perfect punch of color for both spring and summer (think of how cute it would look with white!!). Well hi there, friends! I guess I took a little hiatus from the blog! I have been so busy with traveling for work, celebrating my birthday in wine country, and blogging over at SLMag, that I’ve fallen a little behind! But I’m back and hope you are all having a fantastic week!

Today I want to share with you the dress that I wore on my birthday to ride bikes with my sweet hubby through Sonoma for a little wine tasting and fun (if you follow me on Insta @alldolledupblog, then you already got a chance to see it!). I am very short (5’3″), so don’t typically tend to go for the flowy, boho look since a lot of the tops and dresses tend to swallow me up and not look so flattering. But I have been seeing this dress everywhere lately, and really wanted to try it on. And surprisingly, I loved it. In fact, it turned out to be the perfect thing to wear for riding a bike, while still looking somewhat put together at the vineyards!

Also, you will have to forgive the quality of these photos. The fog and wind both rolled in so fast, that this was all we were able to snap before the lighting and weather made it too impossible to shoot. I have some more fun photos that I will be sharing later this week with a complete round up of our amazing trip! So stay tuned!!!!

Like I’ve always said, leopard can be used as a neutral and works well back to pretty much any color you have in your closet. But truth be told, leopard and red is one of my all-time favorite combos-a pair that I often find myself gravitating towards. And since neutrals have been reigning supreme in my closet as of late, I decided it was time to put a little pop of color back in my wardrobe-and this was the perfect choice!

Juxtaposition

I didn’t think about it when I put this outfit together, but when I was editing these photos, I noticed the juxtaposition that I created-floral shoes and a beanie paired together in the same look! Ha! But for some reason, I think it works. Maybe it’s the part of me that’s longing for warmer weather, or maybe it’s the color combo of mint and pale pink that I can’t seem to stop wearing lately. I am a huge fan of pink, but it’s the color yellow that will always be number one in my book. So when I saw that my favorite shirt comes in a brilliant shade of yellow for Spring, it was a total no-brainer for me. And while I dressed it down today with my favorite military vest, I am already scheming up more ways to wear this fabulous shirt! Don’t love yellow? Don’t worry. This blouse comes in a multitude of colors and is the perfect top to add to your closet for work OR play!

I love olive green-particularly with leopard and gold jewelry. It is a combo that I often find myself reaching for-whether in the summer or the winter. And what do you know? My favorite denim jacket is making yet another appearance on the blog! Hopefully you guys aren’t too sick of it yet. Ha! Like I always say, a denim jacket is an important investment piece to add to your wardrobe. Not only are they versatile, but they go with just about anything, and those are the smartest pieces you can add to your closet!

Coral Crush

Sometimes I find that daytime events can be a bit tricky to dress for. So when I had the chance to celebrate with my sister-in-law at her baby shower while we were on vacation a couple of weeks ago, I was feeling a bit stumped as to what to wear. I knew I wanted to wear my new chiffon skirt from the Merle Norman store in Draper (see this post), but it felt a little dressy for a daytime event. So after tearing through everything in my suitcase, I settled on a bright coral t-shirt tank (tied in a knot to tone things down a notch), and of course went with my all-time favorite tried-and-true neon coral pumps, and gold accessories. And to be honest? I LOVE the way this outfit turned out and think it would be the perfect choice for a plethora of occasions-day or night.
