Summer Chambray

We have had a little break from the heat wave here in the SLC the past few days, which prompted me to break out my favorite lightweight summer chambray shirt. I am a fan of chambray no matter the season, but one of my favorite ways to wear it is back to a full skirt. And it was the perfect choice for the weather this week. Especially because it gave me an excuse to wear my favorite wedges. I seriously can’t get enough of these shoes! Flower Power

I am fairly short, at just 5’3″, but I have long legs and a short torso, so shopping in the petites department doesn’t typically work for me. I normally just buy regular sizing, and if I ever run into a pant inseam that is a little too long, I just take them to my (amazing!) tailor here in the SLC. So when I spotted this cute peplum jacket a couple of months ago at Macy’s, and the XS was too big for me, I was initially at a loss. But when I noticed it also came in petite, I decided to give it shot. And guess what? It worked perfectly! It was a great reminder for me that if I ever have trouble with regular sizing, that petites can be a great alternative. So if you are on the short side like me, don’t forget about the petite department!

Weekend Vibes

Vests are such a great item to throw on with a t-shirt and jeans, over a cute dress, with shorts and a tank-no matter the season, a vest is an easy piece to take a simple outfit up a notch.

Think Pink

Quick (late!) post coming to you guys today. This was actually a recent outfit that I wore to work and I just had to share because I am loving bubble gum pink so much this summer. It is a fantastic, versatile color and of course pairs perfectly back to black skinnies and nude pumps with a pop of leopard!

White Out

I love white bags and have been wanting to add one to my collection for quite some time. And while I only had three specific features I knew the bag had to have (saffiano leather, gold hardware, and a structured shape), I had a really hard time finding just the right one. Well thank goodness for Rebecca Minkoff and her huge spring sample sale coinciding with my birthday this year! I was able to snatch up the Avery tote which is not only gorgeous (and one of my favorite RM bags EVER), but it also met all of my white bag requirements. AND the icing on top of the cake? I was able to get it for less than half of the regular retail price! My favorite kind of purchase!
