Sometimes I find that daytime events can be a bit tricky to dress for. So when I had the chance to celebrate with my sister-in-law at her baby shower while we were on vacation a couple of weeks ago, I was feeling a bit stumped as to what to wear. I knew I wanted to wear my new chiffon skirt from the Merle Norman store in Draper (see this post), but it felt a little dressy for a daytime event. So after tearing through everything in my suitcase, I settled on a bright coral t-shirt tank (tied in a knot to tone things down a notch), and of course went with my all-time favorite tried-and-true neon coral pumps, and gold accessories. And to be honest? I LOVE the way this outfit turned out and think it would be the perfect choice for a plethora of occasions-day or night.

Listen up ladies, red isn’t just for the holiday season anymore! Paired with the right color combinations (think neutrals!!), red is a color we should be wearing all. year. long. And while I typically tend to shy away from reds during the warmer months (as I’m sure we all tend to do), paired back to nudes and light wash denim, red really is the perfect pop of color for Spring!

Camo Couture

Since I’m heading down south tomorrow, it seems I’ve got camo on my mind. And believe it or not, camo just happens to be one of my very favorite prints. Maybe it’s the Montana girl in me, or maybe it’s the years I spent below the Mason Dixon line-either way, I couldn’t be happier that it’s an important print for the season. Kinda feels right up my alley-especially dolled up a little!
