So I have a little secret. Remember yesterday’s post and the super cute nude cami I was wearing underneath my red blazer? Well guess what? The purple cami in today’s post is the exact. same. shirt-just reversed! I can’t even tell you how thrilled I was when I stumbled on this amazing find at Express a few weeks ago. Not only is the styling of this particular cami perfect for a multitude of outfits, but every cami is essentially two shirts in one. Two for the price of one?? Pretty tough to beat that kind of a deal, don’t you think? So run, don’t walk to your local Express (or use the link below) to pick up your own. Listen up ladies, red isn’t just for the holiday season anymore! Paired with the right color combinations (think neutrals!!), red is a color we should be wearing all. year. long. And while I typically tend to shy away from reds during the warmer months (as I’m sure we all tend to do), paired back to nudes and light wash denim, red really is the perfect pop of color for Spring!

Rad Plaid

I am a pretty tried and true JCrew and Gap girl when it comes to my beloved button downs. And I rarely (if ever) venture outside of this cozy comfort zone. However, since I didn’t have any luck with either store on my hunt for a light gray plaid shirt this spring, I was forced to venture out. And I have to say, I am glad that I did because I am absolutely LOVING the fit and style of this Ralph Lauren Denim and Supply top. It is slightly longer in the back, the fabric is light and airy, and the fit is fantastic. In fact, it’s been such a popular shirt at Macy’s, it’s been selected as a customer favorite. And you know what that means? More prints and patterns to come! I know I’ll be on the lookout to add some additional versions of this fantastic shirt to my closet!

I knew the second I saw this top in person that I had to have it. I had seen it on the Banana Republic website, but didn’t realize just how gorgeous it was until I saw it in the store. This top is absolutely the prettiest mix of a sequined floral print, with just a touch of neon piping. And I have to say, it is one of those extra special pieces that only seem to come around every once in a while. And even though sometimes they take a little seeking out, every girl should have a couple of these extra special pieces in her wardrobe!

Happy Thursday, everyone! I am on the road again this week for work, and enjoying the opportunity to spend some time in my home state of Montana. But truth be told, I am ready to be home and sleep in my own bed.

But in the meantime, today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite combinations-camo and hot pink. And while I wouldn’t initially have thought to put this outfit together, I happened to try on this sweater while I was wearing these pants running errands a couple of weekends ago and loved the way they looked together. And once I added pink accessories, I was sold! A perfect and fun go-to outfit for the transitional season between winter and spring!

Shades Of Gray

It’s been so gray the past couple of days, the weather must have seeped into my subconscious and impacted my wardrobe-a gray ensemble for an equally gray day. But of course, I couldn’t let the dreariness completely overtake my outfit, and decided to brighten things up a little by adding a pair of yellow pumps. Yellow and gray, after all, is one of my favorite color combinations. Ever.

Also, while I don’t normally get too personal on the blog, I felt it pressing on my heart to share this story with all of you. Sarah grew up down the street from me and at 32 years old is battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer. And not only does she have a difficult fight ahead of her, but she has two young children and a husband to think about. Please keep she and her family in your prayers, and if you feel so inclined to donate, there are links in the article (it’s super easy). And feel free to share her story and spread the word if you feel so inclined.

Reading Sarah’s story reminds of how important it is to be thankful for my health. It is something so easy to take for granted, but yet it is so incredibly precious. A good and humbling reminder…

Leopard on leopard. What do y’all think? Yay or nay? I think yay. I am obviously a huge fan of print mixing, but typically gravitate towards pairing different patterns together (florals and stripes, stripes and leopard, polka dots and stripes, etc.). And while I believe it’s perfectly acceptable to mix two of the same print together, it definitely works best if you follow a couple of rules. The first is that the patterns are in the same or a complimentary color palette. And the second is that the size of the two different prints are contrasting. Pretty easy, don’t you think?
