Wine Not?

J and I were in Sonoma this past weekend doing a little biking and wine tasting, and even though the temps were unusually hot, the leaves were changing colors and Fall was definitely in the air.  So I of course, took full advantage of the opportunity and packed some cute plaid and my favorite booties.  And I have to tell you guys, wearing dresses with booties is my very favorite kind of outfit right now.  And if you are anything like me, it is the perfect transitional combination while the temps are still warm but you’re craving Fall fashion…

I am sure you guys noticed a little site update today!  lol  I was repurchasing my domain name last night, and somehow deleted my previous format.  Whoops!  It is still a work in progress, but you guys will have to let me know what you think!

J and I are off again today and heading to Vegas for a bike race, a little pool action and a nice long weekend.  I’m pretty sure between leisure and work travel, I have been living out of my suitcase (literally!) for the last 6 weeks.  Kinda crazy, but pretty fun.  Anyway, be sure to follow along on Insta and Snap to see more photos and video of our adventures!

Shifty

I am obsessed with long-sleeved shift dresses.  But you know what?  Cute ones are incredibly hard to find.  So when I decided I wanted one for our trip to Sonoma a couple of weeks ago, I knew I could count on my go-to LuLu’s to have some cute options.  And I have to say, as usual, they did not disappoint.  So if you have yet to check out LuLu’s, then I highly recommend that you do! They have a plethora of styles at really reasonable prices, quick shipping, and awesome customer service.  Plus, they are constantly adding new arrivals to their site, so there are always lots of fun things peruse!

Dress: LuLu’s (sold out), same dress, love this, this, and this, just ordered this for an upcoming girl’s weekend (use code: SUMMER for an additional 40% off!) | Ring: Kendra Scott | Hat: Urban Outfitters | Sunnies: Prada | Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Wedges: Jessica Simpson (on sale AND super comfy!)

I don’t know about you guys, but I am SO excited that it’s Thursday.  This holiday weekend (and all of the amazing sales!) seriously can’t get here soon enough.  Be sure to swing back by later this week(end), as I’ll be sharing a round up of all of the sales happening that you won’t want to miss!

Thanks for stopping by!

Boho

Well hi there, friends!  I guess I took a little hiatus from the blog!  I have been so busy with traveling for work, celebrating my birthday in wine country, and blogging over at SLMag, that I’ve fallen a little behind!  But I’m back and hope you are all having a fantastic week!

Today I want to share with you the dress that I wore on my birthday to ride bikes with my sweet hubby through Sonoma for a little wine tasting and fun (if you follow me on Insta @alldolledupblog, then you already got a chance to see it!).  I am very short (5’3″), so don’t typically tend to go for the flowy, boho look since a lot of the tops and dresses tend to swallow me up and not look so flattering.  But I have been seeing this dress everywhere lately, and really wanted to try it on.  And surprisingly, I loved it.  In fact, it turned out to be the perfect thing to wear for riding a bike, while still looking somewhat put together at the vineyards!

Dress: Free People (on sale!) | Necklace: Jeweliq (sold out) LOVE this one | Ring: Kendra Scott | Cuff: Macy’s | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Bag: Marc Jacobs (my color is sold out, but I am loving this one and it’s on sale for under $200!) | Wedges: Jessica Simpson (on sale and super comfy!)

Also, you will have to forgive the quality of these photos.  The fog and wind both rolled in so fast, that this was all we were able to snap before the lighting and weather made it too impossible to shoot.  I have some more fun photos that I will be sharing later this week with a complete round up of our amazing trip!  So stay tuned!!!!

Hope you are all having a great week!

Wine Country

In my mind there isn’t much that can top a warm sunny day spent wine tasting with friends in gorgeous Sonoma. And because J decided to join me on a recent business trip to SF, we were afforded the opportunity to do just that.  A perfect day filled to the brim with good food, sunshine, beautiful wineries, a stretch limo, lunch at my favorite restaurant, and of course, lots of laughter and memories shared with good friends we don’t get to see often enough…

So I have to make a confession. I didn’t pack anything on my trip to wear to wine country.  I made the assumptoin that I would have time to do a little shopping in the city, but ended up being so busy with work, that unfortunately that was not the case.  But even though I had to do a little scrambling Saturday morning to put something together, it was a good reminder that a chambray shirt is a perfect (and easy!) choice for just about any occasion.
