I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again, shift coats are awesome. And this gorgeous black and white number is at the top of my list of all-time favorite things in my closet. Not only is it under $40, but the quality is fantastic and the fabric and print is so pretty, people literally stop me on the street to ask me where they can buy it. When I posted this gray jacket on Instagram last week, I had a lot of you ask me if I would include it in a blog post. And because I love it just as much as you guys seem to, I couldn’t help but oblige. Not only has this jacket become a staple in my wardrobe this winter, but it is under $40 (say what?)! In-Vested

I love a good vest. And when I saw this cute number on one of my favorite bloggers, I knew it would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe. But now that this piece is hanging in my closet, what I especially love about it is how cozy it is. It’s more like a giant blanket scarf/wrap and is the perfect piece for layering up for a little added extra warmth. Red and Green

Okay, okay. So as cliché as it might be this time of year, I do love a good old red and green combo. Particularly when it is slightly more subtle than a traditional Christmas red and green. So with that said, for today’s outfit, I substituted Kelly green with olive, which slightly tones down the combo. And while it still feels festive, it isn’t over the top. Can we also talk about this jacket for a minute? Not only is it super soft and comfy, but it’s also under $30! Amazing!

Olive The Other Sequins

One of my favorite aspects about fashion (and home decor!) is repurposing things that I already own. And this sequin JCrew dress is a great example. I picked it up on clearance this summer and loved wearing it during the warmer months. But because December is the month of sequins (and lots of red and green!), I wanted to try styling it for colder weather. So I layered it with my favorite Portofino shirt from Express, and a new vest (that I’m completely obsessed with, BTW). And I have to say, I love the result. This is an outfit that would be great for a company Christmas party, a girl’s night out, or pretty much any dressy event that the month of December serves up!

I love to layer, but I also love a good twofer. And this sweater from Shein couldn’t be more perfect. Not only is it just the right shade of heather gray, but the pretty lace detailing makes it an easy piece to dress up or dress down. And the length is great too. It’s not quite tunic length, but it’s definitely long enough to wear with your skinniest of jeans.

Ok, so this dress MIGHT look a little familiar. I have it in white, and also in a gorgeous purple color. And since the Free People price tag is a little steep to own this piece in too many colors, I was thrilled to stumble on this dupe from SheIn for a fraction of the price. In my opinion, the quality is almost as nice, the fit is pretty much identical, and at under $30, this is a purchase that is pretty much guilt free. Plus, how gorgeous is this rust color? So perfect for Fall!

Two of my favorite colors to mix together are black and tan. Wearing all black can tend to sku a little dressy, so adding in a great tan or cognac boot, or accessory, is a great way to make the ensemble a little more casual.
