I typically tend to gravitate towards red during the holiday season. But another great color option (that is often forgotten in place of its brighter counterpart this time of year), is burgundy. And I am loving the soft combo of this taupe crushed velvet dress back to burgundy accessories and a dark lip. And would you believe this dress is on sale for less than $30? It would be perfect for a Christmas or NYE party!

You guys probably know by now that I love a good tassel embellishment. So this tassel clutch was an absolute no-brainer for me. And guess what? It’s on major sale right now and comes in a bunch of other colors too. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a fun new bag this fall. And the bell sleeves on this cozy sweater? I can’t get enough. I just love how they take a super simple silhouette and turn it up a notch.

Labor Day

This time of the year makes me feel so conflicted inside. Part of me is so ready for pumpkin everything, blanket scarves, booties, and cozy layers. But the other half hates to see the days get shorter, the temps get cooler, and to have to put away all of my favorite summer dresses and sandals. So this week, I am embracing the last few days of summer and wearing all summer everything. Like this dress. Not only is it super cute, but seriously, how perfect is it for Labor Day weekend?

Did you guys know that this dress can be worn multiple ways? It can be worn strapless, off-the-shoulder (see my #sundaynightstyle post over on Insta!), and of course, one shoulder, like I’ve styled it in this post. How cool is that?

That Sunshine In My Pocket

Yellow is my absolute favorite color and has been ever since I moved past my pink and purple obsession in kindergarten. Ha! So when I saw this cute dress that was yellow, off-the-shoulder, and only $33, I knew it must have been made for me. But don’t worry, if you’re not a yellow fan (which I know everyone is not) it also comes in black. But no matter the color, it is seriously so cute and SO comfy. Pretty much the perfect go-to dress to throw on day or night.

No matter how old you are, I believe there are ways to participate in the trends of the season (with a little tweaking here and there) to make them age appropriate. Take the cropped trend for example. I have been wanting to give this style a try for quite a while, but I’m obviously not going to be running around town showing off my stomach. So I was pleasantly surprised to find this top that is just long to keep me covered, but just short enough to fall into the cropped category. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s off-the-shoulder (which is my absolute favorite trend this season)!

I’d love to know, do you guys like to try out modified versions of different trends?

Another LWD

Another day, another Little White Dress. Seriously y’all, I am all about white these days (if you hadn’t noticed!). And this LWD is a favorite in my closet. The material so soft and flowy, and it has the cutest, flirtiest silhouette. Plus, it’s on major sale right now (less than $60!) and comes in a couple of other colors too that are even further reduced. I would definitely recommend snatching this one up before it sells out! Though the seasons and trends come and go, long sleeve dresses have been at the top of my list for quite a while now. And this dress is a definite favorite. I love the soft pastel print, and the lightweight fabric makes it a perfect transitional piece to wear as the weather warms up (and it’s definitely getting warm around here)!
