Bloomingdales Friends and Family

It’s that time of year again!  The Bloomingdales Friends and Family event is going on right now through April 6th-which means you can save 20% off of everything in the store (use code FF14 at checkout)!  And because there are so many amazing things to choose from, I wanted to share both my neutral and neon picks for the Spring season with all of you.  Pretty good stuff, don’t you think??

Luckily for me, this sale also just happens to coincide with the arrival of my 2013 annual bonus, so I am thinking of splurging on one of the handbags above.  But before I make my decision, I’d love to know, which one is your favorite?  The neon Kate Spade?  Or the neutral Rebecca Minkoff?
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!!!

Hi Ho Silver

I love to add color or a pop of color to the majority of my outfits. But sometimes, it’s tough to beat a classic black and white ensemble. And when I threw on this striped skirt back to a plain black top, I knew that silver accessories were the perfect way to complete this look…

I am heading to San Francisco for work this afternoon, which is a nice way to ease back into the groove of things after vacation. And though I have a feeling the weather might be a bit of a shock to my system, I can’t wait to try and squeeze in some of my favorite restaurants and maybe even a little shopping when all my meetings are done.

Hope you are having a wonderful week!

Lunch Date

I love lunch dates. Whether it be with friends, my hubby, or my sweet co-workers, there is always something fun about “grabbing” lunch. Particularly during the summer months when it’s the perfect time to nab a seat on a patio somewhere. And as the temperature heats up with the progression of summer, sun dresses and maxi’s will definitely be my go-to for these types of outings. But for now, I am loving light colored, distressed denim back to a fun top, and over-sized bag. Oh, and as always, a cute (and comfy) pair shoes…

Half Tucked

I love the half tuck. It’s an easy way shake things up a bit and the perfect balance between looking casual and polished. And while I usually prefer to wear this look with a belt, this time I went without.  And in this instance, I think it lends itself particularly well back to distressed denim…20130527-223614.jpg

I have to admit that  my mom and I had a good laugh about the half tuck while my family was in town for the holiday weekend. You see, the half tuck is a casual look that my dad has been rocking for as long as I can remember.  And while we have always teased him about it (also for as long I can remember), it’s a great example of how cyclical fashion can be.  Hold onto something long enough and it’s bound to come back around…

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!
