One of my favorite summer outfits is a casual long sleeve shirt paired with a pair of destroyed denim shorts. But since it’s such a basic look, it’s not one I feature on the blog very often. However, I love this shirt so much that I just had to share with you guys! Mad for Plaid

I’ve found that it doesn’t really matter the season, in my book, plaid always works. And right now I am really loving this cute plaid tunic from Chicwish. Since I’m short, I tied a little knot in it to give help give me some shape (a great trick for voluminous tops if you’re petite, like me!). And when the temps drop (I can’t believe I’m even thinking about that already), I can’t wait to pair it back to leggings, boots, and a cute jacket.

Hope you guys are having a great week! Is anyone else following the Olympics? I am, and I am especially loving the diving and the gymnastics this year. I just can’t seem to get enough!

I love a good romper. And this one just might be my favorite. Ever. I am always a fan of anything navy, which was originally why I was drawn to it, but the tie waist makes it particularly flattering. Plus the length isn’t too short-which is always something I seem to struggle with when it comes to rompers. Just A Little Bit

I was a little nervous about this top when it first arrived in the mail. Not because I don’t love it, because, man, do I ever. But because it’s a little more on the cropped side than I’m used to, and I wasn’t quite sure how to style it. So after trying it on with a lot of different things, I decided it looked the best with high-waisted skirts. And while this is a look that is just a little bit “sexier” than I would typically gravitate towards, it’s still one that’s chic, and would be perfect for a date night or girl’s night out. And it’s definitely an outfit that is really fun to try.

You guys! I love this dress SO much. I was totally on the fence about it before I tried it on, but now that it’s arrived, I seriously can’t seem to stop thinking of different ways to style it. I love that you can dress it up or dress it down, and that it lends itself well back to a pop of color. The possibilities really are endless. I originally purchased this Free People dress last summer in pink and wore it for my birthday celebration in Sonoma. And I loved it so much and got so much wear out of it, that when they brought it back this season, I bought it in this pretty minty/sage color. And this summer, it is once again one of my favorite things in my closet. It’s also on sale right now, and comes in several other colors. So if you have been thinking about getting this dress, I would highly recommend it! You’ll get so much wear out of it, I promise it will be worth every penny! PLUS it has pockets this year too!

Although be warned. It seems to be running a little shorter this year than last year, so I would recommend sizing up for length.
