American Eagle Feature

I was beyond thrilled when American Eagle contacted me a few weeks ago and asked me to be a part of their Bloggers Do It Better series (ok, I was more than beyond thrilled). I mean seriously, to have the opportunity to work with one of my absolute favorite retailers on a collaboration is literally a dream come true. Somebody pinch me please!! And so today, I am incredibly excited to share with you what we have been working on!

The challenge that was given to my by AE was to style their Contrast Strap Bootie (in leopard) three different ways. And while we revealing all three looks today (head on over to AE’s blog to check out my feature), I will release the specific details about each outfit one post at a time! And so, without further adieu, I leave you with my new favorite booties, styled not just one, but three different ways!

So not only did I have the opportunity to be a part of this fantastic collaboration with AE, but I also found my new favorite booties of the season in the process. And let me tell you people, these booties are truly fantastic. Not only are they super cute and comfy, but I have literally had people stopping me on the street to ask me where they are from. Since I’m heading down south tomorrow, it seems I’ve got camo on my mind. And believe it or not, camo just happens to be one of my very favorite prints. Maybe it’s the Montana girl in me, or maybe it’s the years I spent below the Mason Dixon line-either way, I couldn’t be happier that it’s an important print for the season. I love a good geometric print, but it’s not very often that I’m drawn to one enough to actually purchase and wear one. I suppose it’s one of those things that just lies outside of my fashion comfort zone. Vegas Recap

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that J and I were in Las Vegas last week for a long weekend and a bike race. We had a fantastic time and spent our days riding our road bikes through the Red Rock Canyon, attending Interbike, doing a little shopping, and (mostly) lounging by the pool. It was a fun and relaxing few days. But I have to say, my favorite part was the excuse to get extra dressed up for dinner in the evenings. And any excuse to throw on a little extra sparkle is a good enough excuse for me…

I don’t know about you guys, but I am so excited for the weekend, I can hardly stand it. It’s just been one of those weeks, I guess.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

I didn’t intend to use the below outfit for a post, but due to rainy weather, a late night at work, a bike race (the hubs), and other complications, well, here it is. But, with that said, I’ve got to say, I LOVE it. Funny how sometimes the best outfits are the ones that happen on accident, or when a wrench is thrown in your plans. I guess it keeps things interesting. And besides, it’s pretty hard to go wrong when wellies are involved, don’t you think?

I love the golden color of this skirt, the beautiful pleated material, and the hi-low cut. It is the embodiment of everything I love in a skirt. And even better than that, it’s just one of those pieces that every time I wear it, I am constantly being stopped and asked about it-which of course makes me feel kind of glamorous. Don’t you just love pieces that make you feel good like that? To me that is the whole point of fashion. A tool for us to use to express ourselves and build our confidence!
