Spring Trends

I am wearing four of my favorite trends for Spring and Summer in today’s outfit post: destroyed denim, an off-the-shoulder top, platform sandals, and round sunglasses. And while I’ve been playing around with the first three trends for quite some time now, I just recently purchased my first pair of round sunglasses. And I have so say, I am LOVING them. In fact, I just ordered a second pair with a gradient lens, as opposed to mirrored and I can’t for them to get here. I’d also love to know, what are some of your favorite trends for this season?

You know what’s kind of a weird feeling? When you’re old enough to see certain fashion trends cycle back through your life a second time around. And right now, with so many great ’90’s trends prevalent for the summer months, that’s exactly what’s happening. And it’s leaving me feeling both a little nostalgic, and a little old. lol But when I was in high school, denim short overalls and denim overall dresses were my favorite. So I knew it was a trend I would definitely be revisiting this summer. And I’d love to know, how are you guys feeling about the ’90’s trends in the market right now?

Two of my favorite trends this season? Off-the-shoulder tops and dresses, and over-the-knee boots. So it was an obvious choice to pair the two together. And if you want to try the over-the-knee boot trend this season, this is the pair to try! They look so much like the expensive designer version, but are just under $100!

I don’t typically tend to gravitate towards a lot of black and white combos during the summer months. But when I saw this top, I absolutely fell in love with it. It is so fun and totally different from anything that I have in my closet. And that is exactly why I love shopping with ChicWish. They have so many feminine and unique pieces for really great prices. Free People Shopping Hack

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Free People. They have the best tops and dresses, both basic and trend. And while their prices can be high, they also have great sales. Take for example the top in today’s post, it was originally over $100, but I scored it for just under $25. So if you love FP like I do, but aren’t into spending over $100 on a top, then I recommend you do your Free People shopping at Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and Macy’s. I always keep an eye on the pieces I love and then check prices during the weekend, when department stores typically have their big sales. And another helpful hint? If you have a Macy’s card, Free People is excluded from their 20% off coupons if it is full price, BUT once it breaks price and goes on sale, those 20% off codes work-so you can save even more!

Off-The-Shoulder

If you follow along on Instagram (alldolledupblog), or Snapchat (alldolledupblog), then you know that J and I were on vacation in Montana last week. Of course I had good intentions to take a lot of blog photos while were there, but it was insanely smokey from all of the fires, and truth be told, we were having too much fun to work! Ha! But I did manage to get some photos of this outfit, which is what I wore to a family brunch on Sunday.

I am obsessed with this off the shoulder top because it is so comfy and flowy-a slight departure from a lot of the tops in my closet. And while I have been having fun styling it with shorts, I can’t wait to wear it with long denim and booties in the Fall. So fear not, my friends, styled the right way, you can definitely transition your off-the-shoulder tops and dresses into the Fall season!

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I headed straight to Seattle from vacation for a week long leadership summit. And while I am looking forward to an inspirational week, I can’t wait to sleep in my own bed again!
