Labor Day

This time of the year makes me feel so conflicted inside. Part of me is so ready for pumpkin everything, blanket scarves, booties, and cozy layers. But the other half hates to see the days get shorter, the temps get cooler, and to have to put away all of my favorite summer dresses and sandals. So this week, I am embracing the last few days of summer and wearing all summer everything. Like this dress. Not only is it super cute, but seriously, how perfect is it for Labor Day weekend?

Did you guys know that this dress can be worn multiple ways? It can be worn strapless, off-the-shoulder (see my #sundaynightstyle post over on Insta!), and of course, one shoulder, like I’ve styled it in this post. How cool is that?

Midi

I’m not very tall, at only 5’3″, so I typically shy away from midi-length dresses and skirts since I sometimes think they tend to swallow me up. But that’s not to say I don’t keep trying to find styles in this length that work for me. So I was pleasantly surprised when I found a couple of midi-length dresses at the Gap recently that are not only super soft and comfy, but are also really flattering (you can see the other midi-dress here). Plus this dress will look great with a leather jacket during the Fall season.

Transitioning

I’m having a hard time believing that it’s already August. And I can’t help but find myself starting to think about Fall, and purchasing transitional and Fall specific pieces.

So in today’s post, I wanted to share with you this super cute dress and how I’m wearing it now, and how I’m going to wear it when the temperatures start dropping. Like I’ve said a lot on this blog, I love re-styling items and investing in pieces that will get a lot of use in my wardrobe.
