I don’t normally find myself gravitating towards floral prints. But when I saw this top at JCrew (it’s on clearance right now, by the way), I think I fell in love a little. It’s such an easy, breezy piece for summer and a perfect match back to shorts. But I’m also envisioning styling it back to denim and taking it into the early fall season layered with a leather or jean jacket. And while I’m certainly not ready for the warmer months to end, it’s definitely time to start strategizing how to take your summer wardrobe into fall!

Secret Garden

Well, despite my best intentions last week, I just could not get it together to get any content up on the blog. I thought I would have plenty of time to snap and share outfit photos, but we were so busy boating, rafting, fishing, hitting Glacier National Park, and enjoying family and friends, that there just wasn’t a lot of downtime. So my apologies for the lack of posts!

Fortunately, J and I did manage to snap off a few outfit shots on the last night of our trip at my mom and dad’s house-including these photos taken in my mom’s GORGEOUS garden. My parent’s yard is stunning and I wish I could take blog photos there all the time! In fact, it was in this very garden that I took some of my senior pictures! Crazy to think of how long ago that was!

Lemon Lime

YOU GUYS! I am back! My apologies for the radio silence on the blog last week! I was traveling for work and on vacation and between our crazy adventures and some unexpected technical issues with my memory card (I lost all of the outfit posts I had planned!), I just couldn’t get any content up. But boy did I miss you all and couldn’t be happier to be back and sharing today’s post!

When I was a little girl, my mom always dressed me to the nines for Easter Sunday-pretty dress, white gloves, and of course an Easter bonnet. So I have a little secret. Remember yesterday’s post and the super cute nude cami I was wearing underneath my red blazer? Well guess what? The purple cami in today’s post is the exact. same. shirt-just reversed! I can’t even tell you how thrilled I was when I stumbled on this amazing find at Express a few weeks ago. Not only is the styling of this particular cami perfect for a multitude of outfits, but every cami is essentially two shirts in one. Two for the price of one?? I love boyfriend jeans. They are so comfy, and casual, but also look fantastic dressed up back to heels and a cute top. In fact, I think it’s one of the spring trends that everyone should invest in. But be forewarned, it might take some trying on to find the perfect pair that work for your body type. In fact, it took me quite a while to find a pair that were both flattering and comfy-but they were definitely well worth the effort!

Down On the Farm

Our weather has been a little crazy the past few days (nice one minute, then raining, or snowing the next!), so between that, and our busy schedules, it’s been a little hard to coordinate for blog photos this week. So yesterday after work, J and I decided to meet at a beautiful historic farm pretty close to our house. And even though it was freezing cold while we were shooting, I loved the location and can’t wait to shoot more photos there-even if we did get chased down by some whopping big snow geese!

And do you know what else I am loving? The simplicity of today’s outfit. Black and white is all the rage this season, and I love it paired back to simple chambray, nude pumps, and a bold lip. Another one of those looks that is so easy to put together, but makes you looked you really put some effort in!
