If you are looking to step up your outerwear game this season, then I would highly recommend trying a furry or fuzzy coat. I initially picked up a blush pink version (which you can see here), and loved it so much, that I have been on the hunt for a more casual option the past few weeks. And I just so happened to luck out and find this cozy one (on sale!) that was exactly what I was looking for. Not only do I love the way it looks, but it is incredibly warm and pretty much feels like I am wearing a cloud. Second Chance

There is a funny saying floating around Instagram that says: “Nothing haunts us like the things we didn’t buy”. And every time I see it, I have a good chuckle, because sometimes it isn’t that far from the truth! Such was the case for the sweater in today’s post. I tried it on at JCrew last summer and decided not to buy it (even though I loved it). And I have always regretted not purchasing it. So when I saw that JCrew Factory released an almost identical version a few weeks ago-I pounced! And I am SO glad that I did. Secret Garden

Well, despite my best intentions last week, I just could not get it together to get any content up on the blog. I thought I would have plenty of time to snap and share outfit photos, but we were so busy boating, rafting, fishing, hitting Glacier National Park, and enjoying family and friends, that there just wasn’t a lot of downtime. So my apologies for the lack of posts!

Fortunately, J and I did manage to snap off a few outfit shots on the last night of our trip at my mom and dad’s house-including these photos taken in my mom’s GORGEOUS garden. My parent’s yard is stunning and I wish I could take blog photos there all the time! In fact, it was in this very garden that I took some of my senior pictures! Crazy to think of how long ago that was!

Don’t you love when you have been eyeing something online and it turns out to be even better in person? Such was the case with this cute peplum top. I had seen it online, but as much as I love it, have a hard time with the whole peplum trend (I am very short-waisted, so they don’t normally do much for me). But when my family was here for Memorial Day weekend, my mom treated my sister-in-law and me to a traditional shopping trip, and I was able to spot it on the rack at Forever21. And I have to say, it’s one of those Forever21 pieces that is quite impressive. While most of the stuff in that store is fairly cheap both in quality and in price, and what I would consider “disposable” fashion (not that it can’t still have a very desirable place in your wardrobe), they do have items (if you have the patience) that are actually quite nice and very well made. And this top is one of them. The fit and fabric are both lovely and in person it looks very expensive. Don’t you just love finding bargains like? Me and my bank account sure do. 😉
