I am all about army green surplus jackets and they always seem to reign supreme in my closet this time of year. But truth be told, this camel color jacket has been my absolute favorite this season! It’s such a refreshing alternative to the ever popular olive-green jacket, and the gold hardware makes it feel extra special. It really is the perfect piece to throw on with jeans for all of those weekend errands and last-minute Christmas shopping!!

I can’t stop wearing hats this Fall. They might just be my favorite trend. And swingy, comfy sweaters? Another closet staple. So if you are looking to update your wardrobe this season, I highly recommend considering a new floppy hat and a comfy, cozy sweater (or two) in a rich jewel tone.

I am a big fan of the blanket scarf trend. When the temps drops and there is snow on the ground, there is just something so cozy and comforting about wrapping up in one. So when I was in SF a couple of weeks ago for business meetings, I popped into Zara to check out their assortment for the season (since they are the authority in chic blanket scarves). And I have to say that while I was smitten with the entire collection (and a lot of other things in the store, for that matter), the scarf below was the one that stole my heart. And now that it has finally cooled off in the SLC, I can already tell that it is going to be a go-to item in my closet this season!

Pump It Up

I am definitely a high heel kind of girl. Not a huge fan of flats, and while I do love boots, if I had my choice, let’s be honest, I’d wear a fab pair of pumps everyday. And so it should come as no surprise that this season I am especially loving making a statement with my footwear. Don’t you just love that shoes aren’t just shoes anymore, but rather outfit completing accessories?

I had such a fun weekend in Chicago with friends (of course it went by way too fast). But I couldn’t be happier to be home with my sweet family. Well that, and the fact that we are only 2 days away from heading back to Nicaragua for a little vacay. And let me tell you, I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I love plaid. Like really love it. But of all of the cute plaids I’ve seen this season, a classic buffalo check plaid just might be my favorite. And so when I saw this scarf at Gap (for 40%!), I knew it was coming home with me. And hats! Oh my gosh. I LOVE hats! I mean really, how easy (and fun) is it to just throw on a super simple outfit and a few cute accessories to really an outfit take it up a notch!
