Like I’ve always said, leopard can be used as a neutral and works well back to pretty much any color you have in your closet. But truth be told, leopard and red is one of my all-time favorite combos-a pair that I often find myself gravitating towards. And since neutrals have been reigning supreme in my closet as of late, I decided it was time to put a little pop of color back in my wardrobe-and this was the perfect choice!

Today I wanted to share a couple of my fall favorites with you guys-fur vests and hats. Seriously, I can’t stop wearing either. Both are fantastic Fall staples and are a great and easy way to add a little interest to any outfit. I normally keep things fairly simple and would tend to only pick one stand out piece per outfit, but I have to say, I am loving how this look turned out (even if my hubby did tell me Jenny from the Block called and wants her outfit back)…

I love a great chambray dress. It is the epitome of casual chic, and a perfect (and super easy) piece for summer that also transitions well into Fall! I especially love to style mine back to neutral accessories and gold jewelry and love the extra glam factor that a floppy hat and white bag can add. Vest Friend

Neutral

Even though I am a color person, sometimes there is nothing I crave more than a basic neutral outfit without any color what-so-ever. It is such a chic, blank slate and something about that just feels so refreshing. But I have to tell you, that when it came time to photograph this outfit, my husband laughed at me! Like, an actual, audible, are you really wearing that kind of a laugh! Turns out he thinks my vest looks like a shag rug! And I have to say, I think he’s right. But on the other hand, I also have to say that I love this vest. I tried to hunt down the original jacket version that was popular on so many blogs earlier this season, but didn’t have any luck. So I was thrilled to stumble upon it as a vest. And not only is it a vest (and I’m pretty obsessed with vests) but it’s super cozy and soft, and it even has pockets. So at the end of the day, I love it and am resolved to rock it-even if my husband thinks I look like I’m wearing a giant piece of carpet for a top!

I love fall fashion. And by love, I mean really love. There is just something so appealing to me about layering on sweaters, cute jackets, and lots of jewelry. And neutral colors? Forget about it. As much as I am a tried-and-true color girl, this time of year, army green and anything in a neutral color palette is what you’ll find me reaching for. Ok, well maybe with a little pop of color…
