Whether you call it a denim jacket or a jean jacket, if you don’t own one, then you should! Denim jackets are a key item for Spring, and a great investment piece that will last you for seasons to come. And while they are a great layering piece while we wait for the temps to warm up, they are also really cute. In fact, my favorite way of styling them as of late is back to flirty dresses and skirts-allowing me to get into my summer wardrobe a little earlier than usual. Happy Thursday, everyone! I am on the road again this week for work, and enjoying the opportunity to spend some time in my home state of Montana. But truth be told, I am ready to be home and sleep in my own bed.

But in the meantime, today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite combinations-camo and hot pink. And while I wouldn’t initially have thought to put this outfit together, I happened to try on this sweater while I was wearing these pants running errands a couple of weekends ago and loved the way they looked together. And once I added pink accessories, I was sold! A perfect and fun go-to outfit for the transitional season between winter and spring!

Shades Of Gray

It’s been so gray the past couple of days, the weather must have seeped into my subconscious and impacted my wardrobe-a gray ensemble for an equally gray day. But of course, I couldn’t let the dreariness completely overtake my outfit, and decided to brighten things up a little by adding a pair of yellow pumps. Yellow and gray, after all, is one of my favorite color combinations. Ever.

Also, while I don’t normally get too personal on the blog, I felt it pressing on my heart to share this story with all of you. Sarah grew up down the street from me and at 32 years old is battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer. And not only does she have a difficult fight ahead of her, but she has two young children and a husband to think about. Please keep she and her family in your prayers, and if you feel so inclined to donate, there are links in the article (it’s super easy). And feel free to share her story and spread the word if you feel so inclined.

Reading Sarah’s story reminds of how important it is to be thankful for my health. It is something so easy to take for granted, but yet it is so incredibly precious. A good and humbling reminder…

I love a good graphic tee. And since I missed out on the Kiss tee that JCrew launched this fall, I pounced on the Hello tee as soon as I saw it in store. And boy am I glad that I did. It’s already made a plethora of appearances in my daily wardrobe, including on NYE when I wore it with a sequin jacket, ripped jeans, and sparkly pumps. I mean what better way to say hello to the new year than on your t-shirt? And because a t-shirt and ripped jeans back to dressed up accessories is still going to be a go-to look for me in 2014, I can’t wait to come up with more ways to style this tee. But today’s look is probably my favorite to date-ultra laid back and causal with a splash of statement jewelry and a flash of silver accessories…

I don’t know about you all, but yesterday was painful. I was so not ready for vacation to be over and to be back at work. But the good news is, we are heading to Denver this weekend. Party Pants

I have been on the hunt for a pair of sequin pants for quite a while now. And believe me, it was much more difficult than I could have ever anticipated. So I was absolutely thrilled when I found this fantastic black pair of sequin pants at Bebe for a steal of a price. In my opinion, they are the perfect holiday party attire. And while I am loving them back to plaid, I can’t wait to style them more ways this holiday season!

While I am always sad to see the weekend go, I couldn’t be happier that this one is over because I am so excited for Thanksgiving. I. CAN. HARDLY. STAND. IT.
