Lady In Red

First of all…CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of the Touchstone Crystal giveaway: Sarah Langlois , and Abby Peterson!!  Please email me at: abby_doll@hotmail.com so we can work out the details.  SO excited for you girls!

And second, I have to say I am grateful to even be getting a blog up today.  I had big regional meetings last week at work-which meant a lot of late nights and early mornings-definitely no time for blog photos.  And then over the weekend (when I had planned to catch up), I ended up with a terribly sick hubby AND the SLC had a whirlwind of crazy, stormy weather, including SNOW!  Let’s just say, the odds were not in my favor.  But fortunately, we were able to sneak in one quick outfit right as the sun went down last night.  And I have to say, I am loving my pretty red lace dress paired back to a deconstructed denim jacket (with a hoodie no less).  You know me, I always love an unexpected mix of casual and dressy…

Same Same

Leopard on leopard.  What do y’all think?  Yay or nay?  I think yay.  I am obviously a huge fan of print mixing, but typically gravitate towards pairing different patterns together (florals and stripes, stripes and leopard, polka dots and stripes, etc.).  And while I believe it’s perfectly acceptable to mix two of the same print together, it definitely works best if you follow a couple of rules.  The first is that the patterns are in the same or a complimentary color palette.  And the second is that the size of the two different prints are contrasting.  Pretty easy, don’t you think?
