When I was a little girl, I LOVED skirts that I could twirl in. I mean really, what little girl doesn’t? And even as an adult, I am still drawn pretty feminine skirts and dresses that make me feel like twirling around like a little kid. And this gorgeous polka tulle skirt from Dainty Jewells does just that. I mean really, tulle AND polka dots? You had me with just the tulle!

Holiday Ready

One of my favorite things about the Christmas season is dressing up for Holiday parties. And sequins of course. Lots and lots of sequins! So when I saw this darling silver matte sequin swing dress at Fira (one of my favorite online boutiques), I knew it would be perfect for the holiday season!

For today’s post, I’m styling it with a gorgeous blush jacket (that is UNDER $40, BTW), and my favorite floral crown, by the talented Miss Stevi Marie. But I already have a laundry list of other ways I plan to wear this dress over the coming weeks. In fact, I’m thinking of wearing it over a Christmas plaid button down to a party this coming weekend. Olive The Other Sequins

One of my favorite aspects about fashion (and home decor!) is repurposing things that I already own. And this sequin JCrew dress is a great example. I picked it up on clearance this summer and loved wearing it during the warmer months. But because December is the month of sequins (and lots of red and green!), I wanted to try styling it for colder weather. So I layered it with my favorite Portofino shirt from Express, and a new vest (that I’m completely obsessed with, BTW). And I have to say, I love the result. This is an outfit that would be great for a company Christmas party, a girl’s night out, or pretty much any dressy event that the month of December serves up!

Fringed

My motto this season? Fringe, fringe, and MORE fringe! I am loving everything from footwear, to bags, to apparel. And while I think every gal should own a couple of fringe pieces in her closet this Fall (even just one is ok!), this is a great example of trend that may or may not still be around next season. So while it’s fun for right now in 2015, my advice is to be smart about your fringe purchases and not invest too much $ wise. Case and point are the shoes in today’s post. I have been eyeing for them for what seems like forever, but I just didn’t want to commit to the price tag. So when they finally went on major sale, I pounced. And you know what? I know I’ll have fun wearing them, but that I definitely won’t feel badly about buying them if fringe isn’t all the rage next season.

Ok, so this dress MIGHT look a little familiar. I have it in white, and also in a gorgeous purple color. And since the Free People price tag is a little steep to own this piece in too many colors, I was thrilled to stumble on this dupe from SheIn for a fraction of the price. In my opinion, the quality is almost as nice, the fit is pretty much identical, and at under $30, this is a purchase that is pretty much guilt free. Plus, how gorgeous is this rust color? So perfect for Fall!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! We were so busy, I feel like I need another weekend to recover from my weekend! lol. Guess I’ll just have to make do with a little extra coffee this morning!

Date Night Casual

I LOVE a good romper, but it took me a little longer to get hop on the jumpsuit bandwagon. But when I found this great navy version recently, I was sold! So while jumpsuits might seem a little intimidating at first, I definitely recommend at least trying one on. Not only are they chic, but they are amazingly comfy and easy to wear and style. In fact, I can’t wait to wear this one with a leather jacket and pumps when the temps cool down a bit.

It doesn’t matter the season, or what’s on trend for the year. Black and white is always one of my very favorite combinations. Especially when paired with a bright lip for a little pop of color. Not only is it a timeless combo, but a look everyone can wear.
