I love a good palm print. So when I saw this dress in the Cabi spring line, I knew it had to be mine. It’s such an easy fit and a great piece to dress up or down. In fact, I can’t wait to pair it with some gold sandals and a panama hat when the weather warms up a little! Also, in case you missed it yesterday, here is a sneak peek at Cabi’s new Fall line. Everything is SO good, but I am especially obsessing over that long plaid coat!

Velvet

Velvet is one of my very favorite trends of the seasons. In fact, velvet is always a favorite fabric of mine (particularly crushed), so I’m really glad that it’s going to be important to the Fall season and can’t wait to add more pieces to my wardrobe. In fact, I’m thinking I would really like a pair of velvet heels or booties. And maybe even a velvet bomber (see what I mean? I LOVE velvet!). First Day Of Fall

Happy first day of Fall, friends! Can you believe that summer has officially come and gone? I always hate it when summer goes, but I am definitely ready for all things pumpkin and cozy. The only problem is, it’s been blazing hot here in the SLC, which has made it nearly impossible to layer up. But I’ve still been able to get a start wearing my favorite Fall trends by adding things like lace-up pumps, and cocoon vests to my looks. A perfect (and easy) way to get that Fall vibe while the weather is still hot.

Statement Shoes

I used to be a Footwear Buyer and Designer when I first began my career in the Fashion Industry. So I have always had a fondness for shoes. In fact, often times when I put an outfit together, I plan it around a specific pair of shoes that I feel like wearing. So when I saw these stunners in NYC a couple of weeks ago, I absolutely could not resist them. Not only are they super fun (and totally on trend with the tassels and lace-up styling), but are really comfy to boot. Not into the silver? Well don’t worry. Summer Dresses

I am and always have been a jeans and t-shirt kind of a girl. But last summer, I made an effort to start wearing more dresses. Especially during the summer months. And you know what? It is definitely something that has stuck. I find myself wearing more and more dresses these days without even making a conscious effort to do so. And this easy, breezy swing dress from Express is at the top of my list. I first found the long sleeve version this spring (which you can see how I styled it here), and then found it in sleeveless stripes, and now in this gorgeous cobalt blue. It is definitely a go-to in my wardrobe and as I head out on vacation today, you can guarantee it’s packed neatly in my suitcase!
