Sometimes one of my favorite things about fashion is paring things together that don’t necessarily go together. And the mashup of this skirt and top is a prime example. But I have to say, I am loving the unexpected contrast of neon back to classic black and white. And can we talk about this necklace from Ily Couture for minute? Talk about swoon-worthy! It just might be my favorite accessory of the summer!

Birthday Balloons…

I have always wanted to do a blog post with balloons (thanks a lot, Pinterest), but the opportunity had just really never presented itself. That is until yesterday, when J surprised me with flowers and balloons before we left town for a quick weekend birthday celebration. And so today, in honor of my birthday, I thought I would celebrate by accessorizing my outfit with a whole bunch of pink balloons. Because if you can’t accessorize with balloons on your birthday, then really, when can you?

And second, I have to say I am grateful to even be getting a blog up today. I had big regional meetings last week at work-which meant a lot of late nights and early mornings-definitely no time for blog photos. And then over the weekend (when I had planned to catch up), I ended up with a terribly sick hubby AND the SLC had a whirlwind of crazy, stormy weather, including SNOW! I love, love, love the military trend. Most likely because I have an obsession with cute jackets. And what’s cuter than a bomber? Or a surplus jacket? They are the perfect topper to just about any outfit.
