Jumper

I LOVE a good romper, but it took me a little longer to get hop on the jumpsuit bandwagon.  But when I found this great navy version recently, I was sold!  So while jumpsuits might seem a little intimidating at first, I definitely recommend at least trying one on. Not only are they chic, but they are amazingly comfy and easy to wear and style.  In fact, I can’t wait to wear this one with a leather jacket and pumps when the temps cool down a bit.

Blank Slate

I love a good off-the-shoulder dress.  And the pretty color of this one sold me almost immediately.  Plus, I’m always a big fan of pieces that can be styled a plethora of different ways.  And this dress is just that, the perfect blank slate.

Transition

You guys!  Can you believe it’s September already?  Holy cow!  Where the heck did summer go?  And while there is part of me that always hates to leave the summer months behind, I certainly do love Fall.  Especially Fall fashion!  And if you know me in real life, or have followed my blog for very long, then you know my love for military vests during the Fall season.  And this year they are back again and bigger than ever!  So if you didn’t snag one last year, you can shop my picks below  (all under $100!)!  A vest is DEFINITELY something versatile that every gal should have in her closet this season!

If you follow me on Instagram (and if you don’t, you should follow me @alldolledupblog), then you might have seen my post about these gorgeous Prada sunnies.  I LOVE designer sunglasses, but hate the expensive price tag.  So when I discovered Ditto, I knew it was perfect for me.  You can rent a pair of DESIGNER sunglasses (think Prada, Karen Walker, Ray-Ban, Illesteva, etc.) for just $19/month (they even have prescription!)! You also get free shipping and can change out your sunnies as often as you want.  How amazing is that???  And even better???  Try it for one month FREE by using code: ALLDOLLEDUP at check out!  ENJOY!

All About Those Shoes

I have been wanting these shoes for a long time, but was a little unsure about the price tag.  So after adding them to my Nordie’s shopping bag about 50 times over the last couple of months, I finally decided to go for it.  And you know what?  I am SO glad that I did.  Not only are they super comfortable but they go with WAY more than I thought they would.

In fact, I wore them while I was in Seattle this week for meetings and literally had co-workers and people on the street stopping me to ask where they were from!  Plus, since they are a perfect mix between a bootie and shoe, they are a great transitional piece for Fall!

Summer Dresses

I am and always have been a jeans and t-shirt kind of a girl.  But last summer, I made an effort to start wearing more dresses.  Especially during the summer months.  And you know what?  It is definitely something that has stuck.  I find myself wearing more and more dresses these days without even making a conscious effort to do so.  And this easy, breezy swing dress from Express is at the top of my list.  I first found the long sleeve version this spring (which you can see how I styled it here), and then found it in sleeveless stripes, and now in this gorgeous cobalt blue.  It is definitely a go-to in my wardrobe and as I head out on vacation today, you can guarantee it’s packed neatly in my suitcase!

Hope you are all having a wonderful week!  Happy hump day!

Burgundy

When it comes to shopping, I am not very good at purchasing items in advance for an upcoming season.  Instead, I am more of a buy now, wear now kind of girl.  So this time of year gets to be a little tricky for me.  While August is one of my favorite times to shop because of all of the amazing deals, summer is also running short on time, so I want to be careful and not purchase things that I am going to have to put away in a few weeks.  So instead, I look for transitional items to add to my wardrobe that I can wear now and wear later.  And this dress is a great example.  I had been eyeing it in a bright pink color for quite sometime, but when it recently went on sale, I ultimately decided to buy it in burgundy because not only can I wear it now, but it will look great layered with leopard, and booties, and jackets and sweaters!

Color

I can already feel myself doing it.  Gravitating towards neutral and fall colors.  And while I love it, I know I need to slow down and appreciate the colors of summer.  So today’s post serves as a good reminder that there is still plenty of time left to wear all of the brights that the warmer months tend to inspire…DSC_1190 DSC_1191 DSC_1206 DSC_1198 DSC_1200 DSC_1219 DSC_1201 DSC_1215 DSC_1220 DSC_1225

Fiesta!

I’ve been a little slow to hop on the off-shoulder-trend.  It’s not that I don’t love it, because I do.  My hesitation has been that I have broad shoulders and assumed it was a silhouette that would accentuate this and make me look wider on the top than I am.  But once I started trying a few off-the-shoulder pieces on, I realized how wrong I was!  And this dress is no exception.  Not only is it fun and flirty, but it has beautiful laser cut trim, and makes me like I am going to a fun party or a fiesta! And even better than that? It’s under $20!!!  So I want to know, how are you guys feeling about the off-the-shoulder trend?
