Happy Friday, sweet friends! Sorry to have been a little absent on the blog this week. I was traveling for some big work meetings and a snow storm at the beginning of the week made it tough to get any new photos!

But with that said, the falling snow reminded me that not only are the Holidays just around the corner, BUT I need to start planning my Holiday outfits. I love to layer, but I also love a good twofer. And this sweater from Shein couldn’t be more perfect. Not only is it just the right shade of heather gray, but the pretty lace detailing makes it an easy piece to dress up or dress down. And the length is great too. It’s not quite tunic length, but it’s definitely long enough to wear with your skinniest of jeans.

Fur and Boots

I love a good faux fur vest. So I am DEFINITELY glad that they are back in style this season. And while I typically tend to pair them with denim and tunics, they work equally as well when styled with dresses.

And can we talk about the booties in today’s post for minute? I shied away from them for quite a while because I just wasn’t sure about the price point or style. But I finally pulled the trigger and let me tell you…they are my absolute favorite pair of booties in my closet! Not only are they are super comfy, but they are really flattering with both denim AND dresses. So if you are looking for a great pair of booties to add to your closet this season (they also come in a great neutral brown color), then I would highly recommend these. And I’m not the only one who loves them either. They’ve been so popular, Nordstrom has been sold out for the few past weeks, but you are in luck because they JUST restocked them! In fact, I love mine so much, I’m thinking about snagging them in the other color!

I’ve always considered myself more of a nude lip/lip gloss girl. But over the last couple of years, I’ve slowly been incorporating lipstick into my life-mostly pinks, reds, and corals. It wasn’t until I stumbled on MAC Rebel last holiday season that I was convinced I could try a “vampier”, purple shade. And almost a year later, it is still one of my favorite lipsticks to wear. So when this beautiful coat arrived from Cabi, MAC Rebel was actually the first thing I thought to pair it with! Ha!

And while this coat is super fun with jeans and pumps, I really can’t wait to wear it to all of my holiday parties this season! So if you are in the market for a fabulous completer piece to get you through party season in style, then I’d highly recommend this pretty little number!

One of my favorite Fall trends this year is the long vest and cardigan look. And at the risk of aging myself (yikes!), when I was in college, this was one of my very favorite trends. Confession: I ordered this “top” thinking that it was a dress. But when it arrived, it was much too short, and the slit was way too high (yikes!) for me to wear it as a dress, let alone in public. Ha! But I loved the print and fabric so much (it is a nice, sturdy scuba material), that I stewed over how to wear it for a while, not wanting to return it. And I finally decided that it could indeed be worn be worn as a top. In the end, while I still wish it was a dress, I am loving how it looks with leggings, and can’t wait to wear it again when the temperature drops with a cute blazer or leather jacket.

Do you guys watch Project Runway? It is one of my FAVORITE shows. And in this past episode, Edmond (one of my faves!) made a gorgeous pant suit complete with a cloud inspired vest.
