Happy LEAP DAY, my loves! Contrary to how it might appear on the blog, I love to re-wear and re-style things in my wardrobe. In fact, if you’ve been following me for any length of time, then you know I am a big fan of adding pieces to your closet that can be styled multiple ways. And this dress is a great example. Today I’m styling it with over-the-knee boots, and my favorite blush pink vest. But you can see how I styled it last fall, with gray booties and a Panama hat. Same dress, totally different looks. Now how fun is that? Brunch

Yesterday I mentioned that I celebrated the wedding of two dear friends this past weekend. And today’s outfit is what I wore to the brunch the day after the wedding. I have worn this plaid shirt a ton over the last few months because it’s a super easy piece to style in a multitude of different ways (it was last featured on the blog here). So it was a no-brainer to throw on, and left me feeling super comfy, yet put together.

Creature Comforts

I was just telling a girlfriend of mine last night that when I started blogging, it made me realize what a creature of habit I am. I tend to gravitate towards the same types of items and the same kinds of outfits. So being a blogger has been a great way to force myself out of my comfort zone and try new things. And today’s look is a great example of that. A couple of years ago, I never would have tried an outfit like this. And while it still wouldn’t be my go-to (like yesterday’s outfit!), I love pushing myself to try new trends and new looks. Afterall, that’s what makes fashion fun and exciting, right?

Olive The Other Sequins

One of my favorite aspects about fashion (and home decor!) is repurposing things that I already own. And this sequin JCrew dress is a great example. I picked it up on clearance this summer and loved wearing it during the warmer months. But because December is the month of sequins (and lots of red and green!), I wanted to try styling it for colder weather. So I layered it with my favorite Portofino shirt from Express, and a new vest (that I’m completely obsessed with, BTW). And I have to say, I love the result. This is an outfit that would be great for a company Christmas party, a girl’s night out, or pretty much any dressy event that the month of December serves up!
