You know me, I love leopard. So when I spotted this jacket while I was in SF for business meetings a couple of weeks ago, I knew it was a perfect addition to my closet. I can’t stop wearing hats this Fall. They might just be my favorite trend. And swingy, comfy sweaters? Another closet staple. So if you are looking to update your wardrobe this season, I highly recommend considering a new floppy hat and a comfy, cozy sweater (or two) in a rich jewel tone.

Blanketed

I am a big fan of the blanket scarf trend. When the temps drops and there is snow on the ground, there is just something so cozy and comforting about wrapping up in one. So when I was in SF a couple of weeks ago for business meetings, I popped into Zara to check out their assortment for the season (since they are the authority in chic blanket scarves). And I have to say that while I was smitten with the entire collection (and a lot of other things in the store, for that matter), the scarf below was the one that stole my heart. And now that it has finally cooled off in the SLC, I can already tell that it is going to be a go-to item in my closet this season!

Think Pink

Plaid To The Bone

Every fall (it never fails), I become plaid obsessed. Something about cool weather, football, chili, tailgating, scarves, and boots makes want to break out all of my favorite plaid shirts. Today I wanted to share a couple of my fall favorites with you guys-fur vests and hats. Seriously, I can’t stop wearing either. Both are fantastic Fall staples and are a great and easy way to add a little interest to any outfit. I normally keep things fairly simple and would tend to only pick one stand out piece per outfit, but I have to say, I am loving how this look turned out (even if my hubby did tell me Jenny from the Block called and wants her outfit back)…

Layers

One of my favorite things about dressing for Fall is layering. I love putting multiple pieces together to achieve different looks and maximize the pieces in my wardrobe. And because I am such a fan of the layered look, I am definitely finding myself gravitating towards this season’s mixed media pieces that give you the layered look without having to actually layer. Not only do they help simplify getting dressed in the morning, but they are a great option to get the layered look without all the bulk!

Plaid About You

One of my favorite things about Fall fashion? PLAID! And now that the temps are finally starting to cool off a little in the SLC, I am happy to start rocking all of my favorite button downs again. This shirt was a staple in my closet last Fall, and it’s already well on its way to being a staple piece again this season. Not only does it bode well with denim, but it also looks great dressed up with a pop of leopard!
