The Ghosts of Christmas Past

Happy Friday, sweet friends!  Sorry to have been a little absent on the blog this week.  I was traveling for some big work meetings and a snow storm at the beginning of the week made it tough to get any new photos!

But with that said, the falling snow reminded me that not only are the Holidays just around the corner, BUT  I need to start planning my Holiday outfits.  So today, I wanted to take a little trip down memory lane and share some of my favorite looks from the Holiday season last year!  And even better?  A lot of these items have been restocked, so happy shopping and Holiday outfit planning!

Bootleg

I have to admit, I am so used to wearing my skinny jeans, that it feels a little funny to wear a different silhouette of denim.  And while it is definitely going to take some getting used to (just like it did when I started wearing skinnies!), I have to admit, it is kind of nice to add a different style to add to my wardrobe rotation.  But I want to know, what are you all thinking about the bootleg/flare denim trend this season?

Fringed

My motto this season?  Fringe, fringe, and MORE fringe!  I am loving everything from footwear, to bags, to apparel.  And while I think every gal should own a couple of fringe pieces in her closet this Fall (even just one is ok!), this is a great example of trend that may or may not still be around next season.  So while it’s fun for right now in 2015, my advice is to be smart about your fringe purchases and not invest too much $ wise.  Case and point are the shoes in today’s post.  I have been eyeing for them for what seems like forever, but I just didn’t want to commit to the price tag.  So when they finally went on major sale, I pounced.  And you know what? I know I’ll have fun wearing them, but that I definitely won’t feel badly about buying them if fringe isn’t all the rage next season.

So if you are looking to add some fun fringe footwear to your wardrobe this season, be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post to see more of my favorite fringe footwear under $100!

Tunic

Confession: I ordered this “top” thinking that it was a dress.  But when it arrived, it was much too short, and the slit was way too high (yikes!) for me to wear it as a dress, let alone in public.  Ha! But I loved the print and fabric so much (it is a nice, sturdy scuba material), that I stewed over how to wear it for a while, not wanting to return it.  And I finally decided that it could indeed be worn be worn as a top.  In the end, while I still wish it was a dress, I am loving how it looks with leggings, and can’t wait to wear it again when the temperature drops with a cute blazer or leather jacket.

Have you guys ever had a similar experience ordering online before?DSC_2469DSC_2467DSC_2507DSC_2470DSC_2483DSC_2474DSC_2506DSC_2485DSC_2509

Hope you are all having a great week.  I am traveling again for meetings this week.  And I have to tell you, the past few weeks have been so packed full of travel for me that I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that tomorrow marks the first day of October!  Where on earth did September go?  Cray cray!! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

Transition

You guys!  Can you believe it’s September already?  Holy cow!  Where the heck did summer go?  And while there is part of me that always hates to leave the summer months behind, I certainly do love Fall.  Especially Fall fashion!  And if you know me in real life, or have followed my blog for very long, then you know my love for military vests during the Fall season.  And this year they are back again and bigger than ever!  So if you didn’t snag one last year, you can shop my picks below  (all under $100!)!  A vest is DEFINITELY something versatile that every gal should have in her closet this season!

Vest: H&M (old), LOVE this, this, this and this (under $50!) | Leopard Tank: cabi (LOVE this!) | Skirt: JCrew (on MAJOR sale!) | Ring: Kendra Scott | Cuff: Stella & Dot | Sunnies: Prada c/o Ditto (see below for your chance to have these sunnies for $20!) | Bag: Tory Burch | Pumps: Aldo (old), just bought these

If you follow me on Instagram (and if you don’t, you should follow me @alldolledupblog), then you might have seen my post about these gorgeous Prada sunnies.  I LOVE designer sunglasses, but hate the expensive price tag.  So when I discovered Ditto, I knew it was perfect for me.  You can rent a pair of DESIGNER sunglasses (think Prada, Karen Walker, Ray-Ban, Illesteva, etc.) for just $19/month (they even have prescription!)! You also get free shipping and can change out your sunnies as often as you want.  How amazing is that???  And even better???  Try it for one month FREE by using code: ALLDOLLEDUP at check out!  ENJOY!

Off-The-Shoulder

If you follow along on Instagram (alldolledupblog), or Snapchat (alldolledupblog), then you know that J and I were on vacation in Montana last week.  Of course I had good intentions to take a lot of blog photos while were there, but it was insanely smokey from all of the fires, and truth be told, we were having too much fun to work!  Ha! But I did manage to get some photos of this outfit, which is what I wore to a family brunch on Sunday.

I am obsessed with this off the shoulder top because it is so comfy and flowy-a slight departure from a lot of the tops in my closet.  And while I have been having fun styling it with shorts, I can’t wait to wear it with long denim and booties in the Fall.  So fear not, my friends, styled the right way, you can definitely transition your off-the-shoulder tops and dresses into the Fall season!

Burgundy

When it comes to shopping, I am not very good at purchasing items in advance for an upcoming season.  Instead, I am more of a buy now, wear now kind of girl.  So this time of year gets to be a little tricky for me.  While August is one of my favorite times to shop because of all of the amazing deals, summer is also running short on time, so I want to be careful and not purchase things that I am going to have to put away in a few weeks.  So instead, I look for transitional items to add to my wardrobe that I can wear now and wear later.  And this dress is a great example.  I had been eyeing it in a bright pink color for quite sometime, but when it recently went on sale, I ultimately decided to buy it in burgundy because not only can I wear it now, but it will look great layered with leopard, and booties, and jackets and sweaters!

Summer Boho

I posted a photo on my Insta a couple of weeks ago wearing the top in today’s post, and I had so many questions about it, that I wanted to put it up on the blog.  It is another score from SheIn, and is a dupe for the Free People version-but this one won’t break the bank at under $20.  The quality is also great-just like the other pieces I have tried from SheIn.  It’s little short on me to be worn as a dress (keep in mind I am only 5’3″), but you could easily wear something underneath to give it a little length.  I styled mine with denim shorts and tied it in the back so that I could do a messy front tuck.  I also love it paired it with booties to give it a perfect summer boho feel.

Hope you all had a wonderful and safe 4th of July weekend with your family and friends, and that your Monday isn’t too painful! 🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by!
