I love anything that sparkles. Especially if it adds an element of fun to an otherwise classic piece. So when I saw this jacket at Express while I was in SF last wee, I knew it was a perfect addition to my closet. I wear denim jackets all the time (especially this time of year), and I love that I now have a bit of a dressier option in my closet. I can tell this jacket is going to be on heavy repeat in my closet this year!

I am guessing if you follow this blog regularly, then it should come as no surprise that a t-shirt, ripped skinnies, and a great pair of pumps is my go-too outfit. It’s such an easy combo and works perfectly for so many different types of events and outings. And while I am fond of this outfit all year round, I especially love it in the Fall season when I can incorporate another one of my very favorite items-a classic moto jacket!

I love the black and white trend this season. And because black is such a staple (and something I know all of you already own in your own personal wardrobes), this should be an easy trend for anyone to get in on this season without necessarily having to pick up anything new. And while black and white is a relatively safe trend to try, bordering on the more serious and sophisticated side of style, remember that it’s okay to have a little fun with it and think outside of the box too-like mixing graphic prints and stripes together.

I travel a lot both personally and professionally, so am always on the hunt for comfy layering pieces to keep me cozy to and fro. So when ToAdorn (one of my very favorite daily deal sites) gifted me this darling cardigan from Tara Lynn’s Boutique, I knew it was going to be a staple piece in my wardrobe. And it most definitely is. It’s just one of those easy pieces that can be tossed on over just about anything, can be easily tucked into your purse or carry on for travel, and my very favorite part (besides the stripes, obviously)? So, I almost didn’t have any blog photos to share with you guys this week. For once, I was actually ahead of the game and shot some pics over the weekend, but when I went to import them into Lightroom, I received a dreaded error that my SD card was corrupted. I tried everything to retrieve the photos, but no luck. So thank goodness for my tech savvy hubby who was able to save the day for me! I love this sweatshirt. In fact, it was the only piece I ended up buying (well, keeping) from the 3.1 Phillip Lim and Target collaboration this past Fall. I love how playful and fun it is and I especially love that current fashion has made it perfectly acceptable to wear a good old sweatshirt back to boyfriend jeans, red lipstick, and high heels.

I love a good graphic tee. And since I missed out on the Kiss tee that JCrew launched this fall, I pounced on the Hello tee as soon as I saw it in store. And boy am I glad that I did. It’s already made a plethora of appearances in my daily wardrobe, including on NYE when I wore it with a sequin jacket, ripped jeans, and sparkly pumps. I mean what better way to say hello to the new year than on your t-shirt? And because a t-shirt and ripped jeans back to dressed up accessories is still going to be a go-to look for me in 2014, I can’t wait to come up with more ways to style this tee. But today’s look is probably my favorite to date-ultra laid back and causal with a splash of statement jewelry and a flash of silver accessories…

I don’t know about you all, but yesterday was painful. I was so not ready for vacation to be over and to be back at work. But the good news is, we are heading to Denver this weekend. So I am definitely looking forward to a road trip with my sweet family and a little time spent in the Mile High City!
