I’ve always considered myself more of a nude lip/lip gloss girl.  But over the last couple of years, I’ve slowly been incorporating lipstick into my life-mostly pinks, reds, and corals.  It wasn’t until I stumbled on MAC Rebel last holiday season that I was convinced I could try a “vampier”, purple shade.  And almost a year later, it is still one of my favorite lipsticks to wear.  So when this beautiful coat arrived from Cabi, MAC Rebel was actually the first thing I thought to pair it with!  Ha!

And while this coat is super fun with jeans and pumps, I really can’t wait to wear it to all of my holiday parties this season!  So if you are in the market for a fabulous completer piece to get you through party season in style, then I’d highly recommend this pretty little number!

Fashion Fusion

I had such a fantastic time at the Fall Fashion Fusion event at Fashion Place Mall last Friday.  From the red carpet arrival, to the VIP treatment, and all of the goodies c/o Fashion Place, I felt pretty darn special.  And not only that, but show was fun and inspiring and of course I always LOVE seeing the designs created by the students at the Fashion Institute. And with that, I thought I might end the week by sharing some photos from the evening with all of you!

Confession: I LOVE camo. Always have, always will. In fact, my father-in-law even got me my very own snow camo gators for Christmas one year because I thought snow camo was especially pretty. So when camo is in, I am always especially quick to jump on the trend. And so of course, given it’s popularity this season, I knew that a camo vest would be the perfect addition to my wardrobe for the summer season…

I rarely wore a watch until a few years ago when J got me my first Michael Kors as a birthday gift. And now I find that I am stuck in the rut of wearing a watch every single day. So when I started seeing big gold cuffs on the runway and all over fashion magazines a few months ago, I knew it was a trend that I not only loved, but also one that would help me add some variety to my wrist fashion!

And while I know arm parties are all the rage (yes, I LOVE them too), I am really digging having the option to change things up and rock a completely different look.  Wearing two big cold cuffs is a bit bold and a bit Grecian, but a whole lot of fun.  Plus it will be a great way to dress up plain tees and sweaters during colder months.
